After sitting down, the monk who managed the house came to greet him, Xianxiang, Baodi, Guigan, candy, snacks, and a basin of washing water were sent, the face scarf was white, and the basin was also enamel. When you have washed your face, I will come to you again to talk, which is nothing more than to test your way. After resting for a while, the little monk will come to invite incense, and at the end of the incense, he will lead you to watch eight scenes in front of the temple and behind the temple, such as "Twilight Drum Morning Bell" and "Green Lion White Elephant". Then it is time to eat and sleep, and do not announce how much iftar costs for a meal, how much to stay for a night. The next day to go, but also pretend to retain a few words, then take out the "thin edge", please "widely plant the field", you naturally "with the fate of the help", when the shot more than the meal money, accommodation costs at least two or three times.
If the "superior person" came, the monk standing outside the three gates saw the palanquin and the sliding pole in the distance, and together they impressed the "Buddha trumpet" and shouted in unison, "The protector is hard, please sit down in the guest hall." Four sugar plates are placed, Xianxiang and Guidi ask, they chat with the guests, and never ask you guigan. Asking nobles is taboo for rich people. If it is tempted that the protector is coming for the "son of the child "son", then he says, "The king of this county, the family is rich, over sixty years old, the menstruation has stopped for fifteen years, it is reasonable that there will be no childbirth, since the temple sent a wish to Guanyin, the menstruation suddenly came, october came to the pot, gave birth to a pair of twins, the next year came to return the wish, the plaque of the wish, is still offered to the temple."
If the protector came for the "meritorious name," the monk said, "In the past, When Yang Sheng'an entered the Beijing examination, passed through the small temple, and when he stopped, he made a wish to ask the bodhisattva for blessing, and he won the first name." But he forgot to return the wish, and later he would be demoted to Yanbei." If you remind him that "it is Yunnan, not Northern Yan". The other party immediately saw the wind and made the rudder say, "When I degraded Yunnan again, I passed through the small temple, remembered the previous situation, and returned the wish, and that night the bodhisattva entrusted the dream to him, and he will return soon, so it was not long before he was recalled."
If the "Protector" comes here, it is neither for "fame and fortune" nor for "children's rest," but for sightseeing. The monk would say, "There are four flowers on the mountain that are not thankful for the hour, eight sections of evergreen grass, the water in the mountain spring is clear, the water in the mountain spring is turbid, the rare medicinal materials are widespread, and rare birds and animals are gathered." I can't help but say that even the black tiger under Zhao Gongming's crotch is said to be of the mountain middle class. Suddenly, the vegetarian mat was placed, everything was exquisite, even the vegetarian noodles without oil and salt were not excellent, the taste was endless, I ate a bowl, I wanted two bowls.
Fasting on the incense, and then around the temple to look at the eight scenes, each scene a commentary, shopping east and west is already dusk, had to bother again, and then palm the lamp into the room to sleep. Sometimes the "abbot" still has to come to the circle for a while, the abbot is also a poet, the Sheng Tang, the Middle Tang, the late Tang Dynasty and the five generations, pulling the east and the west to the six ancestors, the seven ancestors, so that the Zen of more than a dozen ancestors, make you dizzy, admire the five bodies to the ground, determined to donate more money the next day.

At this time, the "Zhike" opened his mouth: "Long-standing protector of the Fa dao is highly moral, has a great reputation, has a wide range of friends, and has friends all over the world." There is no constant vegetarian in the small temple, and more than a hundred monks in the temple all rely on almsgiving, and there are few monks and many monks in the porridge. A few days ago, I consulted with the abbot, thinking of posting fundraising in various state capitals and counties, or encountering those benevolent men and women who were kind enough to donate money, one can make the monks fast porridge worry-free, and the other can cultivate temples. Last year, the main hall leaked rain, it took a lot of money to repair it, this year the partial hall to change the beams, good luck is still not known where to end. This time, the protector came to pay homage to the bodhisattva, which is really a good cause and a good root, and I implore the protector to raise the dharma on his behalf, immeasurable merit, and never shirk it."
This is really "spitting out a lotus", a saying that "sounds magnificent". When the Protector takes a look at the Yuanbo, the ten books will total two thousand people, and unless you go to the special relationship for him, who will feel too much pressure and will definitely resign. If you resign, he will be reduced to five books, and if you resign, he will exhort, "The reputation of the protector is high, the popularity is good, the good fortune is good, the bodhisattva is blessed, the small temple is grateful, the monks are benefited, and the thousand prayers are not troublesome, Amitabha Buddha." "After saying that, you will subtract two books, two books are also four hundred people, you are still too much, and finally reduced to one, but also explain, how much can be turned into as much as possible." This is the Great Luo Immortal, who also wants to drop the "Wen Brush (Buddha Dust)", and can't help but pick it up. However, the "protector" still has concerns, how to hand over the money raised to the temple, the "zhike" has long been in the chest, and without waiting for the opening of the question, he said: "On August 15 this year, the small temple closed the mountain, and then we will send people to your county to get close to the protector." This is a hint that your temple will come to collect money.
After the Protector accepted the "Yuan thin" of the generation, xiao Shami held a thick and large "yuan thin" and waited next to him. The "Zhike" took it by hand and sent it, "Please protect the Dharma and give alms." Looking at the thin book, the first one is the chairman of the state government, Lin Sen, who donated ten thousand yuan, the following is a certain governor of the province eight thousand, a certain commander-in-chief eight thousand, a certain army commander five thousand, a certain gang leader five thousand, and then the division, brigade, regiment commander, county grand master, famous business donations, the donation is at least five hundred. Seeing that the protector hesitated, he immediately said: "One evil at all, persuade people not to do anything, persuade people to do more, trickle down the water, flow into rivers, with the help of fate, accumulate less into more, if this time the protector is inconvenienced to go up the mountain, write the upper edge thin, after sealing the mountain, the small temple will also send people to visit the palace." This is to clearly tell the protector that as long as you write the edge of the thin, it is equivalent to typing an interest-free IOU, not collecting your cash, and when it is due, he will send someone to ask for the debt.
Therefore, those who became protectors of the Fa also had to write at least fifty yuan. After going up the mountain, the temples are like this, and when the "empty" protector goes down the mountain, several hundred yuan will be donated, go home and live until September and October, the monk comes, and as soon as he comes to the door, he will send two pieces of snow tofu and two or two high-grade Longjing tea. At this time, of course, the protector understood that the "creditor master" came to the door, and after the tea, he agreed to pay the money after three or five days, and hurriedly pulled it around to pay off the debt.
Among them, there has also been a "debt- protector", and once after a big man went up the mountain, the confidant found out his details and asked him to donate a large amount of money in the temple. When the monk went down the mountain to collect money, he actually took out a "meditative note" to pay off the debt, saying that "if you give a bodhisattva a relationship, you will naturally use a meditative ingot." Thinking that this could be relied upon, the result was that the dog who was scolded by the local robed brothers, local tycoons and inferior gentry, good men and women, and local officials was bloodied, and even released words to rectify him, and finally "bleeding (money)". It turned out that the monks in the temple were all "through the sea", and when he came to collect debts, he had already sent a gift to the leader of the gang, the local powerful family, relying on the bodhisattva's golden noodles, and everyone had to buy his account. Therefore, the big old man couldn't get rid of it if he wanted to.
Because the monks in the temple "pass through the sea", the "gang robe brothers", when they go there, if they reveal their identities, they all eat and live in vain, and the hospitality is quite good. The way to brighten his identity is to shout with a single palm in front of the room where "Zhike" and "Zhaoke" live: "Salute the Zhikeshi, salute the Illuminator." Then he opened the bamboo curtain and entered the house, and as soon as they met, he said: "Brother surname so-and-so, cursive character so-and-so, play three or five rows in the ren or yi character (the internal status of the gang, the seating rules, and then write another article to elaborate)." And made a gesture that suited his identity, "Come and see you brothers." As long as you say this, the temple knows that it is a white food, so it replied: "Don't think the small temple is indifferent, please stay a few days." Then call xiao Shami to lead you to stay, and then someone will come and call you to dinner. There are also "sticks (robbers)" to take shelter, and in some cases, they will also notify the "sticks" in advance to escape, or help him hide.
It is an act of kindness, an economic source for maintaining the daily use of the temple, cultivating the temple, relieving the poor, or an important factor in opening up a dojo. However, after being mixed in by the people in the "key doors" of the jianghu, they actually became a means of accumulating wealth, and this kind of person who dared to pretend to be "Grandpa Buddha" and deceive people of money was really a very evil crime.
