30 years ago, Wang Jun directed the opera "Daughter of the Party" and won the Wenhua Award and the first prize of the All-Army Literary and Art Conference. After 30 years, after directing many popular film and television dramas such as "Little Farewell" and "Little Joy", Wang Jun returned to the stage again, and Wang Jun felt a lot of emotions. "'Daughter of the Party' was the first opera I co-directed, which was the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Party, and the rehearsal process is vividly remembered. Now that it is the centenary of the founding of the Party, it is very exciting and of great significance to be able to rearrange this opera. ”
Talking about the principle of this creation, Wang Jun believes that "'Daughter of the Party' is a landmark work, very classic, the first thing we have to do is shouzheng, and it has been performed hundreds of times to show that it can withstand the test, so in many ways it is necessary to retain the original artistic characteristics." But 30 years have passed, the audience's aesthetic habits and drama-watching relationships have changed, so we have to put forward innovations on the basis of being honest, and our stage design, costume design, music, and even performance have made some adjustments to meet the aesthetic requirements of modern audiences. ”
The play will be conducted by conductor Li Xincao, directed by Wang Jun, starring soprano Lei Jia and baritone singer Liao Changyong, and performed collectively with outstanding artists from the National Centre for the Performing Arts Orchestra, Choir and Central Chinese Orchestra. Lead actor Lei Jia said that as an opera actor, it is more important to inherit: "'Daughter of the Party' is a classic, which was created at its peak when it was premiered 30 years ago, with the advancement of science and technology, the means to achieve art are also progressing, and more innovation will be on the stage, but for opera actors, first of all, we must learn the blueprint of pearl jade in front. ”

In addition to "The Party's Daughter", in 2021, the National Centre for the Performing Arts will also launch the original opera "Song of Youth", inviting famous composer Zhang Qianyi, famous playwright Zhao Daming, and famous director Wang Xiaoying to co-create. The original opera "Mountain Village Female Teacher", the original Chinese epic opera "Long March", the original opera "Fang Zhimin", the National Centre for the Performing Arts version of the red classic national opera "Honghu Red Guard", the original national dance drama "Tianlu" and so on will also be rearranged.
