Yan Yiping suggested that we should step up the top-level design of Shanghai-Macao cooperation and solidly establish a more comprehensive Shanghai-Macao cooperation mechanism.

Speaking of Shanghai-Macao cooperation, especially the development of Shanghai-Macao enterprises, Xu Huafang, member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and executive director of Baolong Group Development Co., Ltd., was quite emotional. He noted that the ongoing impact of the new crown epidemic, the adverse current of globalization, and the game of global economic governance rules have had a very obvious impact on global trade and investment, and the global industrial chain and supply chain are facing restructuring.

Xu Huafang said frankly that enterprises in Shanghai and Macao are obviously affected due to their high degree of export, and in the face of the epidemic, new changes in the process of globalization and new opportunities for development, it is even more necessary to consolidate the diversified cooperation platform between Shanghai and Macao, smooth the path of cooperation, help enterprises in Shanghai and Macao seize new opportunities for development, give play to their unique advantages, stimulate the vitality of enterprise development, and strengthen the main body of the market for Shanghai-Macao cooperation.

How to stimulate the vitality of enterprises in Shanghai and Macao? In the view of Ip Bingquan, member of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and adviser to the City University of Macau, Macao enterprises should cooperate with local universities, scientific research institutions, industries and their local governments in Shanghai to improve innovation efficiency and create an excellent and professional innovation environment; increase cross-regional and cross-border research and development cooperation, technology transfer and trading, and promote the flow of innovation elements such as talents, technology, capital and information.

At the same time, through the application for invention patent cooperation and patent transfer in Shanghai, Macao enterprises will be promoted to achieve a virtuous cycle of innovation chain, industrial chain and capital chain in a wider area, thus becoming a micro-carrier for the development of innovation cooperation between Shanghai and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Shanghai and the European Union and Portuguese-speaking countries, and also providing continuous innovation impetus for enterprises in Shanghai and Macao to create new competitive advantages.

Ma Zhiyuan, member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, vice chairman of the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce, and executive director of Macau Liansheng Development Co., Ltd., believes that in order to stimulate the vitality of enterprises in Shanghai and Macao, more open cooperation and exchange platforms should be built between Shanghai and Macao.

Ma Zhiyuan analyzed that the current Macao enterprises in Shanghai are involved in an increasingly diversified industry, including modern industrial systems such as modern service industries, strategic emerging industries, and advanced manufacturing, and cooperation between Shanghai and Macao enterprises has broad space and prospects.
