The Masquespacio design team created a unique student-centered ambience for Resa student residences through the strategic application of color blocks in flexibly designed spaces. The project is located in Bilbao, Spain.
The University Apartments Resa San Mamé is located next to the new bus terminal in Bilbao. Resa, a leading company specializing in student apartment development, commissioned the Masquespacio design team to develop a visual design for the future of accommodation, with a view to creating a unified aesthetic effect for the new project to be launched. After developing a brand brochure, Resa asked the design team to create a second condominium project in Bilbao for them.

So the design team created a translucent layout that allowed different areas to connect to each other. Some areas, such as student study rooms, use glass partitions that open and close to ensure a quiet learning space when closed, or organize activities unrelated to other spaces when special needs are needed.
The case had clear instructions at the beginning of the project to explore creative solutions that met the limited budget. For this reason, the design team was already involved in the project design in the early construction phase, deciding to keep all the pipes visible while choosing the wall material and concrete floor to avoid waste caused by the secondary renovation. Through early intervention, the aesthetic style of modern industrial style is displayed at the beginning, and the decoration of simple color blocks gives this student apartment a pleasant atmosphere of youth and vitality.
