< Chinese Folk Tale > Shanman (Mulam)

During the Qing Dynasty, the Mulao tribe produced a hero who made the government and the rich feel frightened. His name is Yamaman.

ShanMan was born in Jiulong Mountain, Qianbei Province, his family was very poor, and he lived a life inferior to that of cattle and horses since he was a child.

When he was sixteen years old, Shan man, together with his father and brother, went to betray the official salt, and innocently suffered a reprimand from above, he was indignant in his heart, determined to practice his skills and meet the rich lords of the official family.

In the winter of that year, Shanman invited a few young friends to build a "martial arts shed" in the open space next to the village, and began to seriously practice and study martial arts in the shed.

In less than a year, Yamaman had learned the ninety-way martial arts of fist and foot.

When Shan Man went out, he always tied a bamboo cage filled with small stones around his waist, walked all the way, threw all the way, and practiced a long and accurate stone throwing trick.

Yamaman removed the branches of the catalpa tree in front of his house and practiced the skill of "squirrels on the tree, cats on the tree" on the trunk of the light tree.

Xianfeng four years, almost one night in the Waxing Moon, Shan Man opened the door to go out to urinate, and saw a group of people passing by the front half of the village with lanterns.

By the light, Shan Man saw that the gang was suspicious, so he asked the people what they were doing, but the other party refused to answer, but instead accelerated his steps.

Yamaman, judging that he was a strongman, picked up a few stones and threw them away, extinguishing the lanterns in front of him one by one, and the gang fled in all directions.

At this time, more than a dozen people with sticks and lanterns arrived. Shan Man asked, only to learn that he had been robbed and gathered a crowd to come.

In July and August of the following year, Yamaman and a few friends went to the outside of the mountain to catch up.

At the scene, he came across the son of Old Master Hou on the street with a dozen evil teenagers to grab and eat the mountain grapes of the two big ladies, and the mountain was full of uneven roads, and he taught them a lesson.

On the second day of the rush, Yamaman and a few friends came again

They came to the dam in front of the Shuijing Temple, and there were people standing around the dam, and a dozen thugs invited by the Hou family were practicing. They want to subdue Yamaman.

Yamami asked his friend to stand aside and walked into the dam alone.

A martial arts teacher came up and said, "Shan Dahan, you first lift up this thousand-pound silver pier, and then we will discuss it." Yamaman said, "Then ask the teacher to lift first, and I will learn." ”

Without saying a word, the teacher pulled away, lifted the silver pier up, and lifted it three times in a row, and then put it back in place.

Unhurried, Shan Man reached out a hand to grasp the stone hole on the silver pier, deftly held it around the field, and casually threw it upwards, "booming" a loud noise, shaking half the street.

Old Master Hou was watching the battle upstairs, and when he saw that none of the minions around him were opponents of Shanman, he hurriedly changed his mind, walked down, and even paid tribute to Shanman.

Yamaman and his friends stopped eating this set, turned around and left.

During the Tongzhi period, there was a severe drought for two consecutive years, and there was no harvest, but the ruthless rich man stepped up his urging for rent, and the villagers were anxious.

Everyone came to shanman for consultation, and shanman decided to lead the villagers to the big river outside the mountain to find the rich man to borrow grain.

They came to the post and decided to teach the rich man in this area a lesson first. Yamaman felt three stones from his waist and threw them at his house.

The first stone fell in the middle of the bear tyrant's patio, then the second stone fell to the middle hall, and the third stone fell at the feet of the bear storm who went out to inspect.

The bear stumbled and jumped into the backyard and quickly ordered his men to close the door locks.

The mountain filled them and they came to the front of the bear storm. The dark arrows inside the wall were endless, and they could not get close, so they returned fire with stones, but they could not always hit the people they were ambushing.

At this time, the mountain saw that there was a big tree outside the wall, so he sneaked up, climbed to the top of the tree, and used the stone to open the heads of several thugs.

The crowd took the opportunity to push down the gate and rushed into the Bear Family Compound.

Seeing that the general trend had gone, the bear single-handedly uncovered the stone cover of the backyard ditch and escaped from the big gutter.

Yamaman distributed the xiong family's grain and belongings to the villagers on the spot.

The news of Shanman borrowing grain from the rich spread in the four townships, and many people went to Shanman, where they relied on the mountains and rocks to build villages to train troops, beat the rich, and opposed the government.

One day, Shan Man was working in Jiulong Mountain, and the county master sent someone to say that he was going to come to the cottage to meet Shan Man.

Shan Man knew that this was a weasel giving the chicken a New Year's greeting, so he took the villagers to the top of the mountain to see the movements and prepare to "greet" the county grandfather.

Soon, the eight-person caravan of the county grand master, escorted by Tuan Ding and the messenger, came to the front of the mountain.

Yamaman felt the stone from the cage, raised his hand and threw it at the palanquin, and the dome in the middle of the palanquin immediately disappeared, frightening the county grandfather who was dreaming of "Zhao An" in the palanquin from possessing.

The county master hurriedly jumped off the palanquin, only to hear a "click", and another stone was hit on the palanquin pole, folding into two pieces, frightening him to collapse to the ground.

His personal servant saw that the situation was not good, and dragged him to turn around and run down the mountain.

The county master returned to the county court, terrified, with nightmares, and died within a few days.

Shan Man and his friends, who later brought hundreds of men, joined the Taiping Army. His remarkable achievements were passed down as beautiful talk in the Taiping Army.
