No greens were hit, however, the ball sat on the long grass. Maybe you will feel that the ball position is good. But in this case, you can't always be sure of the ball's flying out. Like all short hits, a solid touch is key.

Step 1

Even if you're on the side near the flag, don't open the pole too much. Because the ball sits on top of a blade of grass, if you increase the angle of the club face, the club head is likely to slip under the ball. The ball is still in place. Usually in this case I keep the club straight, or open it a little, only when I really need to let the ball fly high and land on the edge of the hole.

Step 2

Swinging is like playing a small left-curved ball, the club moves from the inside out, and the hands are slightly flipped in the touch. This helps keep the club flat and shallow, often resulting in cleaner touches. My main idea was to make as much contact as possible with the ball in the groove of the club.
