When I was in middle school, I heard people tell the legend of Ma Wuzhai. When I was in high school, I heard the story of Ma Wuzhai over and over again, but I never went to Ma Wuzhai. From graduating from college to joining the work, Ma Wuzhai has always been in my mind. Now, the dream has come true, and Ma Wuzhai has finally unveiled its mystery in my mind.
At 9:00 a.m. on New Year's Day in 2022, although it is a cold winter, my heart is still warm and warm. Under the guidance of Comrade Yang Xingchun, an expert in the history of new secret texts, he drove straight from Xinmi to Mawuzhai.
The car traveled through the lofty mountains of Xinmi, crossed the Niangniang Temple of Fushan Mountain, drove forward for another 1 kilometer, overlooking Mawuzhai from Fushan Mountain, and the first thing that jumped into view was Ma Jiling, which was located in the Foot Pedal Yunya Palace and rested on the floating mountain. The second is the ZhengMei Group Songda Railway, which runs through the village, which is like a giant dragon wandering in the landscape and fields of the village. Between Majiling and Fushan, there is a deep valley, and in the deep valley flows a river called Yanghe, which is exactly a jade belt, and the ancestors have nourished the hardworking, simple, intelligent and capable Mawuzhai people for generations.
Mawuzhai Village is located 15 kilometers southeast of Xinmi City, bordering Cuigang Village of Liuzhai Town to the east, Laiji Village of Laiji Town to the west, Majiling to the south and Longwangmiao Village of Dakui Town to the south, and Wangtang Village of Laiji Town to the north. It is about 3 kilometers long from east to west, about 2 kilometers wide from north to south, and the terrain slopes from northeast to southwest, located in the transition zone between mountains and plains, which belongs to the shallow hilly area, and runs through it with three ridges, six villages, four rivers and three ditches.
The three ridges are facing each other, resembling three guardian gods, guarding the feng shui treasure land of Mawuzhai. Ma Ji Ling is undulating, Niangniang Temple Ridge, also known as Fushan Ridge Majestic Wei'an, Xiaolong Ridge is beautiful and beautiful.
In the old society, Liuzhai made great contributions to the villagers' defense and resistance against bandits, knifemen, and scattered soldiers. They are Fushanzhai, Mawuzhai, Yaoqizhai, Cen Pengzhai, Panguzhai and Jinlongzhai.
The four rivers are Yanghe, Wanglouhe, Changhe and Zhulinggou. Four small rivers, meandering and meandering, flow endlessly, to the south end of the village at the end of the confluence, south into the Huan River, flooding during flooding, watering in drought.
The three ditches are Laolonggou, Dongjiagou and Xiaolinggou, such as the veins of the Mawuzhai people, which run through the entire territory of Mawuzhai.
After learning more about the geographical location, historical origins and village overview of Mawuzhai, I became more and more interested in the ancient houses in the village.
There are two existing ancient houses in Mawuzhai, one is located in Mawuzhai and the other is located in Qinglongzhai. There are 6 ancient houses located on Qinglong Village, 4 of which are well preserved, and 2 of which are almost destroyed in the front living room. These 6 ancient houses have typical Ming Dynasty brick building architectural characteristics, green brick and gray tile cornices, carved beams and paintings, birds and animals, luxurious atmosphere, majestic and neat, remnants of the courtyard and towering main building, but also preserve a little of the old face, but also remember the glory and wealth of the old master.
The ancient residence on MawuZhai is the former residence of Yang Wanhui. Sitting west facing east, built in the Daoguang years of the Qing Dynasty, covering an area of 750 square meters, there are three sets of standard courtyards with the same structure in the north and south, all of which are composed of the main gate, the second gate, the east and west wing rooms and the main building, all of which are brick and wood structures, with hard mountain ash tile roofs. The house is located in Mawu Village, the terrain is very dangerous, to enter these 3 houses, you need to go through a tunnel-style wall, the tunnel through the wall, very steep and narrow, two people side by side barely passed.
After visiting the ancient houses, we also searched for the remnants of Wenchang Pavilion next to the Yang River. More than a dozen steps away on the east bank of the Yang River, there stands a Wenchang Pavilion that has been gone for an unknown number of years. Wenchang Pavilion green brick structure, the lower level is a cave, is the villagers to go down the river, cross the bridge, into the village must pass through. Wenchang Pavilion is in a northeast-southwest direction, with the entrance facing southwest and the exit facing northeast. The original staircase at the corner of the east end can be directly up to the second floor from the weir to enter the pavilion. There is a wall outside the cabinet door, which is square, which can not only ensure safety, but also add beauty. Legend has it that there are murals in the pavilion, and the murals are "Wen Chang Ye" and the Twenty-Four Filial Pieties.
Standing in front of the ruined Wenchang Pavilion, it made me think about it. In ancient times, the imperial examination system on the mainland was very popular, and literati everywhere regarded the pursuit of merit and fame as the highest goal of their lives. Wenchangxing occupies an important position in the Chinese Taoist belief, as the name of the celestial star official, the folk believe that it is specifically to manage the reading and literary merits of the world. Whether it is the education system of the imperial examination or the folk custom of building Wenchang Pavilion, the belief in culture has been firmly established, so the Chinese cultural tradition of poetry and book inheritance has gone to thousands of households, and every household has picked up the book of the sages, and the sound of langlang books has nourished the heart, and the way of cultivating oneself and governing others has been passed on to future generations to inherit culture. Due to the blessing of Wenchang Pavilion, Mawuzhai Village has made the village's people brilliant and talented. In 1982, Cheng Xiaofeng, a graduate of the no. 2 Middle School in Mixian County, was admitted to the Department of Civil Engineering of Tsinghua University with the first place in Henan Province. In 2008, Yang Haopeng, a graduate of Xinmi Experimental High School in the village, was admitted to Peking University with the first place in Xinmi City's liberal arts major in Chinese languages. In a village, two college entrance examination winners appeared at the same time, which is extremely rare in the history of Xinmi, and many ordinary people have come to Wenchang Pavilion to burn incense, in order to pray for the title of the golden list of descendants, glory and glory, and blessings for future generations.
In addition to Mawuzhai Village, which is not only famous for the college entrance examination in Xinmi City, but also the health and longevity of the elderly are also dominant in Xinmi. At the beginning of the new year, I came to No. 38 Laozhuangmen, Mawuzhai Village, Xinmi City, a quaint farm yard, to visit a 103-year-old man, Su Xiuyun. Su Xiuyun was born on the 25th day of the first month of 1920. Spanning two centuries, walking through both old and new societies. Today's old su Xiuyun in addition to some ears back, good health, peace of mind, life can take care of themselves. Today, the four generations of Su Xiuyun's family are filial piety and grandchildren, the family is harmonious, the life is happy, and they live a happy and harmonious life.
What I could not imagine is that Mawuzhai not only retains ancient houses and some ancient villages, but also the emerging community is refreshing and exciting. Entering the Mawuzhai community, the buildings that are lined up one after another, the tall and tall landscape trees, the rows of beautiful and beautiful street lamps, the clean and clean asphalt roads, and the large cultural square in front of the village that integrates fitness, leisure, entertainment and dancing, and the magnificent "Banquet Moon Ecological Park" that integrates catering and conference reception, truly allows mawuzhai people to live the same happy life as the people in the city.
Strolling in the magical land of Mawuzhai, lingering between green mountains and green waters, tasting the Culture of the Western Han Dynasty, and passing through the ancient houses of the Ming and Qing Dynasties will make people feel relaxed and happy, and linger. Every grass and tree here tells people the story of Mawuzhai.
Mawuzhai, a cultural village in the hinterland of the Central Plains, a beautiful village with landscape paintings. A village where ancient civilization and modern civilization blend with each other and coexist in common prosperity, and a village that remembers the vicissitudes of history and blooms the style of the times.
