It's almost the New Year, what do you do with so many classes you've hoarded?

It's almost the New Year, what do you do with so many classes you've hoarded?

Two days ago, the students of the Z Growth Club asked me: "I bought a lot of courses this year, when I bought them, I felt that I needed them, but I did have limited energy, so the courses were slowly piled up there, and even some classes obviously remembered to buy, but I forgot which platform I bought, I can't find it, how to break this situation?"

It's almost the New Year, what do you do with so many classes you've hoarded?

Are you in a similar situation? Let's test it, count it, how many courses have you hoarded on hand and haven't learned?

  • 5 or less, learn to bully!
  • 5-10 doors, learn the saint!
  • More than 10 courses, learn God!

Whether you are a bully, a saint or a god, if you want to change the habit of hoarding lessons, you must make a change in concept: from the "classroom learning method" to the "supermarket learning method", what does it mean?

Classroom Learning Vs Supermarket Learning Method

You see, open the mobile phone, you can see the push of various courses, and then you feel that they are all good lessons, all good teachers, all have to learn, at this time you are like a student sitting obediently in the classroom, there are constantly teachers coming in to give us lessons, a natural science, a economics, a time management, a goal management, you are not rejected, who will refuse such good knowledge?

This is the "classroom learning method", which is the inertia of the learning mode of childhood that continues to the present, in this era of knowledge explosion, learning in this way will drown in the ocean of knowledge

It's almost the New Year, what do you do with so many classes you've hoarded?

So what is the "supermarket learning method"? As the name suggests, seeing the various classes pushed on the mobile phone, our approach is like visiting the supermarket, only take what I need, I need ketchup, take ketchup, take bananas when I need bananas, and choose courses from the perspective of "everything is for me"

At this time, you may ask: Brother Qiang, what should I do specifically, so as not to drown in the ocean of knowledge, and everything is used by me?

It's almost the New Year, what do you do with so many classes you've hoarded?

This article will share with you my own 3 experiences of learning courses: what to learn and what to use + what to use + practice with people, I believe it will be helpful for you to choose courses and learn courses

1. Learn what to use

Now an online course has at least 12 lessons, each session is 10-20 minutes, and we often use fragmented time to listen to lectures, such as commuting to work, waiting for people, eating, one section after listening to automatically play to the next section, is not it?

In other words, in this case, we can't guarantee that we can always concentrate on the lectures, so the absorption rate of the course content must be very low, right? So the strategy I adopted was, "Learn what to use."

It's almost the New Year, what do you do with so many classes you've hoarded?

For example, if you listen to a communication course on the subway to work, ask yourself when you get off the subway: After the class, what did I learn? (After listening to ≠ learn)

The first reaction is: I learned to say "we" more when communicating in the workplace, not "I" or "you", let alone "them", and I learned this knowledge point after listening to a whole 12 lessons? Some people will be frustrated, but I won't, and I'm happy at least I've learned that

Good! So when you get to the company today, you start using this technique: today to communicate with anyone deliberately use "we"

It's almost the New Year, what do you do with so many classes you've hoarded?

This is called "what to learn and what to use", you may ask: Is it a pity that all other knowledge points have been forgotten?

It doesn't matter, I listened to this lesson every day when I went to work, listened to it repeatedly, and asked myself every day: After the class, what did I learn? The knowledge points learned are deliberately used when going to work, and after a week, the whole course is also learned

More importantly: with the "what to learn and what to use" method, I really grasp the knowledge points, and I will not be anxious because I learn too much and forget too quickly, maybe this is the right way to open online learning in this era

The next lesson is also subversive

2. Learn what to use

First of all, soul torture: Do you really need to use those lessons that you hoard?

According to my observation, most people buy classes that are not "needed", but "may be used", for example, when you see a class that talks about card notes, is your inner dialogue similar to this:

  • "It looks good in this class."
  • "Recently, the card note writing method has been very popular"
  • "Wow, this teacher is a doctor of the National People's Congress, and he has written three books, which is great!"
  • "Buy it first, and study when I'm free!"

And then what? After buying it, there is no then...

It's almost the New Year, what do you do with so many classes you've hoarded?

Have you noticed that there is a key part of these conversations missing?

Just ask yourself, "Is this course really useful for me now?" Which problem does it solve that I'm having right now? ”

Good class, good teacher, enough time, you can't use it, and you will soon forget all about it, so my experience is the opposite:

  • "I spend nearly twice as much time making excels as my colleagues, I need to learn excel to improve efficiency, I go to search for good courses and teachers"
  • "Last month's customer turnover dropped a lot, I have to learn how to promote the transaction of the lesson to improve the turnover rate"
It's almost the New Year, what do you do with so many classes you've hoarded?

You see, the more clear your needs are like this, the higher the quality of learning, because it is active learning and applying what you have learned

This is my second lesson: "Learn what you need."

You can combine the first two lessons: learn when you encounter a problem that needs to be solved, only use what you have learned when you learn, let go of the rest, and listen to the same course many times

Then the third lesson is aimed at the misunderstanding of more people

3. Learn from people and practice things

Or do you ask you to do a judgment question first, which option do you think is more cost-effective to learn time management?

  • A: Spend 99 blocks and listen to 25 online lessons on time management
  • B: Spend 999 yuan, about an expert to consult the next time management confusion

It seems that B spends more money, but I think the input-output ratio is higher than B, why do you say so?

It's almost the New Year, what do you do with so many classes you've hoarded?

The point is that you invest not only money, but also time

Option A, your investment is 99 blocks + 5 hours, this is not the end, after learning you also need to internalize what you have learned, and then find a solution to your time problem, if you happen to often delay, then the time spent is infinite

Option B, you invest 999 blocks + 1 hour, directly to your solution to the time management problem, and then just do it, and it's over

So, in fact, it is often more cost-effective to learn from people, so why don't most people use this method? I think there are three main reasons, the first is that he is used to the form of listening to lectures and learning, and he does not realize that he can learn from others, the second is that he does not realize the total cost of listening to lectures and learning, and the third is that his time is not worth much

Finally, whether it is to learn from people, or to learn from the class, if you do not practice in things, you will soon forget, remember when I first entered the company and needed to learn C language programming, I gave myself a small project: to make a library management software, while doing while learning, the level of programming improved rapidly, this way of learning seems to have a special vocabulary: project-based learning

epilogue

Today's article shares with you my three lesson experiences: what to learn and what to use + what to use to learn + practice with people, online learning, are you visiting the supermarket or a classroom?

In fact, in the end, it is a sentence: everything is for my use!
