Township and village cadres went deep into the fields, verified the land nature of the plots one by one against the map spots, determined the specific location, and pulled up the red line as a marker. At present, a total of 350 acres of cultivated land have been discharged. Among them, the first batch of 165 mu of arable land discharged in the Chekeng Weir plot has been planted with rice in 2021 and has achieved a bumper harvest; the second batch of 95 mu of land discharged in the kiln base has been handed over to Kecheng Chenjing Family Farm for care; the third batch of 90 mu of plots discharged in the Lingwei plot has completed the clearance of surface attachments.

"The 350 mu of land in the village is the 'golden key' for the village collective and the people to get rich, which not only provides jobs for the villagers, but also increases the income of the village collective by more than 80,000 yuan." Mao Zhiwei said.

What should I do if the cultivated land is rectified and the roads are not connected? Mao Zhiwei came up with a way. With the strong support of the Transportation Bureau of Kecheng District and Shishi Township, the cadres of the two village committees actively sought project funds to build a 1518-meter-long and 5-meter-wide machine ploughing road from the Car Pit Weir to the Shihualing plot, which is convenient for seeders and harvesters to drive directly into the fields.

In the sound of the "rumbling" operation of the road roller, the spacious and flat machine ploughing road extends to the field, to the doorstep of the people, and also to the hearts of the villagers. "The village will transfer these abandoned land, and we can get a circulation fee of more than 400 yuan per mu." The village has also built a new mechanized road, which saves time and effort for us to travel. Villager Jin Chunmei gave a thumbs up, took serious responsibility for the new team officers of the two village committees, and praised them everywhere.

According to reports, under the guidance of the State Council's "non-grain" and "non-agricultural" ideology, in 2021, Shishi Township will fully launch the "non-grain" and "non-agricultural" rectification work in 11 villages, and a total of 1600 mu of land is currently being explored and rectified. "This year, we will cooperate with the Municipal Rural Revitalization and Development Co., Ltd. to jointly plant rice on the abandoned plots that have been rectified, and it is expected to plant 1,300 mu and harvest 900,000 kilograms of rice, increasing the income of the village collectives and villagers by 650,000 yuan."
