On January 19, US time, MediaTek directly launched the first WiFi 7 technology to the world, according to the official release of the content, this time mainly to industry partners and customers to show two Key Wi-Fi 7 technologies, showing the excellent speed and ultra-low latency performance of WiFi 7 technology.

Commenting on this technology, Alan Hsu, vice president and general manager of MediaTek's intelligent connectivity business, said:

"The introduction of Wi-Fi 7 represents the first time that Wi-Fi can truly replace broadband wired/Ethernet network technology. MediaTek's Wi-Fi 7 technology will be the core network for home, commercial and industrial networks, providing superior seamless networking solutions for multiplayer AR/VR applications, cloud gaming, 4K video calling and 8K streaming. ”

How fast is WiFi 7? Its excellence lies in the fact that it offers completely new features for all available Wi-Fi spectrum, including 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz. WiFi 7 is known to be 2.4 times faster than WiFi 6, and even with the same number of antennas, WiFi 7 can gain an advantage through 4K quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) technology.

MediaTek became one of the first companies to adopt Wi-Fi 7, and they also said that they will launch MediaTek products equipped with the WiFi 7 standard in 2023.
