Cili Court: The "Judge's Sister" was invited to teach a rule of law lesson to the Children's Director

Zhangjiajie, January 19 (Correspondent Tang Lijun) "I am very pleased to be here and face-to-face with the 'children's directors' to exchange the topic of caring for and protecting left-behind children." On January 17, Xiong Mengqi, the "sister of a judge" of the Cili County People's Court and an assistant judge of the Criminal Trial Division, was invited by the County Civil Affairs Bureau to teach the children's directors of townships, villages and villages (residences) under his jurisdiction.

Starting from the trial function of judicial protection of minors, Xiong Mengqi combined with the analysis of the characteristics and reasons of the county court's handling of criminal cases involving left-behind children, gave a detailed lecture on the key issues of carrying out rule of law education for left-behind children, including the issues of criminal responsibility, sexual abuse, and bullying that are of common concern to "child directors", guiding "children's directors" to increase their legal knowledge reserves, helping left-behind children to enhance their awareness of the rule of law and their ability to protect themselves, and reducing and preventing the occurrence of crimes committed by left-behind minors.

In addition, Xiong Mengqi also combined with the newly revised "Law on the Protection of Minors" and the "Civil Code", focusing on the provisions on the protection of the rights and interests of minors, juvenile criminal acts, the statute of limitations for damages suffered from sexual abuse, and other aspects of the legal provisions, to help the "children's director" discover problems as soon as possible, solve problems, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of left-behind children in accordance with the law.

"Judge Xiong's lectures are detailed, theory and case are combined, and easy to understand, and we will certainly serve every child in the community with our hearts in the future." After the class, the participants reported that they had benefited a lot from the event.
