This is a true portrayal of the 78-year-old Yuezong in Yuelou Community, Yuecheng Street Office, Heze Development Zone, Shandong Province, who has been writing his life with pen and tireless writing. Over the past few decades, more than 1,300 news newsletters, character interviews, poems and other works written by the elderly Yue Zong have been published in many publications such as People's Daily and Dazhong Daily, and have become well-known local elderly "writers".
In the 90s of the last century, I already knew the name of The old man Yuezong, and my contact with him began in 2012 when I was in charge of the compilation of "Danyang Zhi" and "Kaipu Cao Xuma Clan Genealogy", although the age difference was more than 30 years, but whenever he came to my office, we talked very speculatively, and we could be regarded as a tacit pen pal and close friend.
The elderly should have enjoyed their old age at home, but YueZong's current old man has been sleeping at night for many years, and has published four or five books in just a few years. Yue Zong appeared tough, sunny in his heart, spirited, quick thinking, and revealing the simple literati atmosphere and cultivation between his speech and demeanor. Over the years, he has often published works such as news and poetry in newspapers and magazines across the country, and his works are close to real life, reflect social reality, and embody the spirit of the times. In particular, what he wrote is catchy, pleasant and loud, easy to remember, and humorous, vivid image, what to see and write, what to write, the plot is true, true and false is soft, the use is clever, the author uses the truth of art to show the truth of life, and all the life and family trivia touched on it are mostly traceable.

The old man usually likes to read books, read newspapers, love to write, and "love books like life". So every time we meet, I always give him a few good books. Novels, political history, popular science... He could read any book with relish, even holding a dictionary for days. In the more than 20 years of retirement, the elderly Zong Xian insisted on reading, writing for 2-3 hours every morning, even if he was not in good health, he would insist, tired, he got up to do exercise and look at the distance or listen to the radio to relieve fatigue and rest. He once said that when he was young, he had a dream of writing, which could not be completed at the time, and now he can make up for it. "In the past, when I went to work, I didn't have time to write, so I began to plan my writing path after retirement.
After the books of the old man of Yuezong were printed and published, he would always give me a copy at the first time. It was very exciting to see the old man holding a heavy new book, and the joy was overflowing, which was a happy experience that could only be obtained after experiencing some hardship.
