The iPhone SE 3 is coming or debuting at Apple's spring conference shipping in April at the earliest

The most affordable 5G iPhone in Apple's history may be available in three months.

On Wednesday, 19th, Eastern Time, Ross Young, a consultant in the display industry, tweeted that Apple's suppliers will start producing display panels for the third-generation iPhone SE from this month, and the phone may begin final assembly in March. As a result, the iPhone SE 3 may ship in the second half of April or early May.

Judging from the time of the first two generations of iPhone SE, Apple usually released in the spring, the first iPhone SE was in March 2016, and the second generation was in April 2020. If Ross Yong's news is true, the new iPhone SE should be available in less than two months at the latest.

A day before Young broke the news, Bloomberg's tech reporter Mark Gurman tweeted on Tuesday that Apple would hold a conference this spring to release the new iPhone SE and other new hardware. On Sunday, a Japanese blog quoted Reliable Information from China as saying that in addition to the iPhone SE 3, Apple may also launch the fifth-generation iPad Air at the spring conference.

At the spring conference on April 20 last year, Apple launched the iPad Pro and iMac, both equipped with self-developed chips M1, of which the iPad Pro supported 5G networks, shared chips with desktops for the first time, bid farewell to the IPhone's A-series chips, the iMac abandoned the Intel processor for the first time, and had seven optional colors, and also released a purple version of the iPhone 12, an upgraded TV box 4K and a lost property tracker AirTag.

According to the well-known Apple news website Macromors, Ross Young has proven to be a reliable source of information about Apple's new product display. Last year, for example, he accurately revealed that the new iPad mini will be equipped with an 8.3-inch display and remove the Home button. He also pioneered the news that the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro will be equipped with ProMotion displays.

Mark Gurman's Apple product blog 9to5mac pointed out that Ross Young is an analyst at the display supply chain consulting agency, and Yong's reports are usually based on news implied by the supply chain, similar to the sources of senior Apple analyst and "prophecy emperor" Guo Mingji. In the past year, his revelations have been proven to be highly credible, and he has provided a lot of details about the iPhone SE 3.

According to Japanese media news last year, the iPhone SE 3 is expected to adopt the same design as the current iPhone SE, still equipped with a 4.7-inch display, with home button and fingerprint recognition function Touch ID, unlike the previous generation of iPhone SE, it will be equipped with the same Apple's self-developed A15 bionic chip as the iPhone 13, and support the 5G network by configuring Qualcomm's X60 chip. However, some Taiwanese media said that the iPhone SE 3 is not equipped with A15, but an upgraded A14 chip that is the same as the iPhone 12 series.
