In December 2011, Wang Zaixiang, who was in his junior year, joined the army and grew from a local youth to a soldier proficient in the operation of high-tech equipment. Wang Zaixiang has fired 10 missiles since his service, and the launches have hit the target, and he is called "Goldfinger" by his comrades-in-arms.
But the growth path of the "gold medal shooter" has not been smooth. More than 10 years ago, after the training of new recruits, Wang Zaixiang was assigned to the missile launch class, which made him happy, and Wang Zaixiang's mind frequently flashed the picture of missiles lifting off in film and television dramas.
"Wang Zaixiang, light sight!" "What?" The moment the order was announced, Wang Zaixiang realized that he had not become a missile launcher as he wished. On the training ground, he absentmindedly listened to the squad leader explain the basic principles of the optical sight, and his resistance was all looked at by the squad leader.
The next day, the squad leader called Wang Zaixiang to the side of the building under construction in the camp: "In Xiang, you said why did you dig so deep in the building, and you also needed to add steel and cement to lay the foundation inside." "Isn't this simple, the foundation can't be laid firmly, and the building is not shaking in the wind and rain." During the confrontation exercise, the report of "target disappearance" suddenly made Wang Zaixiang a little panicked, but with a solid operational foundation, he quickly reacted, quickly unlocked and analyzed the radar waveform, and re-locked the target.
"Intercept!" Hearing the order, he quickly pressed the launch button, and the missile went straight to the target, and the "enemy plane" exploded in response.
In a drill held at a certain range in the summer of 2016, Wang Zaixiang, who participated in the exercise, was calmly analyzing the radar waveform in front of the operating platform and steadily tracking the target, but he did not expect that the clear sky suddenly became gloomy, and the "enemy plane" plunged into the dark clouds, and the target "disappeared".
The sudden situation made everyone a little anxious, Wang Zaixiang stared at the radar screen, patiently waiting for the opportunity, but the sky was getting darker and darker, and there was no sign of getting better. Just when even the command post was about to be abandoned, Wang Zaixiang suddenly flashed an idea in his mind: "You can use the light aim to drive the radar to search for targets!" ”
"Xie Haibo, you are now listening to my instructions, the direction is ×××, the height is ×××, and the search target is." Although the light bulb could only see the dark clouds through the scope, he trusted the judgment of the master operator. Under the command of Wang Zaixiang, the light sight constantly adjusted the surveillance range, one second, two seconds, three seconds, "Target capture! The target suddenly appeared on the radar display, the situation was reported to the company command post, and the company commander decisively ordered: "F1 vehicle single-shot interception!" The missiles burst out in response, plunged into thick clouds, and successfully destroyed the "enemy aircraft."
In the process of using the equipment, it is inevitable that it will encounter various failures, and Wang Zaixiang was deeply impressed by the company commander's words: "A good shooter is first of all a good repair technician." In 2015, the equipment was updated and upgraded, and the company could recommend officers and soldiers to go to the manufacturer for production training, and Wang Zaixiang was excited to jump three feet high: "This training is really timely rain, I must go!" On the train to Beijing, he sorted out the questions he wanted to know. Wang Zaixiang did not know that this five-month study would become one of the most important experiences in his military career.
From the first day of learning, he became the "small follower" of the factory master, from the optical sight to the launch pad, he compared the accompanying materials, one difficult point after another, Wang Zaixiang's spirit of serious study touched every technician who had contacted him. The masters in the factory always had to answer questions, and they laughed and said, "If there is a bed in the factory, he will live in the factory." ”
At the end of 5 months of study, Wang Zaixiang lost five or six kilograms, but he became a "technical master" who could master the "temperament" of the launcher.
In 2019, the brigade maneuvered thousands of kilometers away to participate in a confrontation exercise in a complex environment, and after the exercise was over, on the way back from the position to the loading station, the launch vehicle on which Wang Zaixiang was riding suddenly reduced its speed and made it difficult to speed up, and the missile launcher "went on strike".
He quickly got out of the car to check, and found that the right rear wheel was deflated, the inflatable pipe on the side of the wheel was cracked, and the sound of "squeaking" kept coming. "What can I do without a manufacturer's accompanying guarantee?" The maintenance technician quickly arrived, and could not find the repair clue for a while, seeing that the loading time was approaching, once the repair was not good, it would affect the loading of the subsequent echelon.
Wang Zaixiang ran to the spare parts maintenance car and quickly found a long pipe, which functioned similarly to the wheel side inflatable pipe, but it was not a special maintenance spare part. After he brought the tube over, everyone suspected that it wouldn't work. Wang Zaixiang said emphatically: "Cut off part of the pipe, and after loading it, the car will definitely go!" ”

Everyone in the room held their breath, and everyone stared at the tires, only to see the tires bulging at a speed visible to the naked eye. "Fixed!" Everyone involuntarily applauded, and then the convoy advanced smoothly and successfully completed the loading task.

In 2020, the brigade participated in an exercise, and the officers and soldiers faced the challenges of unfamiliar territory, harsh environment, and a certain type of high-speed target aircraft. The live-fire confrontation was at night, the night was dark, and the sound of the vehicle engine could only be heard on the missile launch position. Suddenly, a target appeared on Wang Zaixiang's radar display, but the powerful object jammed the target, and each time the target was locked, it was always impossible to "catch" the real target, at this time the target plane was rapidly flying towards the edge of the shooting area, and it could not lock on to the target, and it would lose the opportunity to launch.
Wang Zaixiang stared at the screen with both eyes, calmly analyzed the waveform of the interference and the target, and quickly performed anti-interference operations with both hands on the operating table. Suddenly, the waveform of the target on the radar display appeared, saying that it was late, that time was fast, only to see him decisively select and lock, "Catch it!" Wang Zaixiang immediately reported to the company command post, "Target lock, stable tracking!" "F1 car single shot interception!" As soon as the order was given, he immediately pressed the launch button, and the missile immediately roared out, dragging a long tail flame straight into the night sky, and finally successfully hit the target at the launch boundary, achieving "air flowering".
In the live-fire exercise in 2021, Wang Zaixiang once again achieved 2 rounds and 2 shots. At the summary meeting after the exercise, he took to the podium to share his experience with everyone, and Wang Zaixiang said: "Science and technology are constantly developing, and the enemy planes we are facing will become more and more advanced. ”
