The opening of the renovation project of Greenland Avenue (Changfa Road - Xiangpu Road) will effectively alleviate the congestion of the ground roads in the Huaqiao section during peak periods, make the traffic of the surrounding roads more convenient, the road grid more flexible, and realize the rapid east-west traffic of the Flower Bridge.
"New city" is one of the hot words of Kunshan's two sessions this year. According to statistics, in the government work report, the word "city" appeared 62 times. In addition to the renovation project of Greenland Avenue (Changfa Road - Xiangpu Road), a number of traffic projects have been "unveiled", adding vitality to the city's efforts to achieve "new transcendence" in the new journey of modernization.
Gangpu Road (Gucheng Road - Jiangpu Road) renovation project
On December 19, 2021, the reconstruction project of Gangpu Road (Gucheng Road - Jiangpu Road) was officially opened to traffic. Gangpu Road is an important part of the "sixteen horizontal" in the framework road network system of "sixteen horizontal and twelve vertical and three rings" in our city, and is planned as an east-west main road in the south of Kunshan, which undertakes the dual functions of township and town traffic.
The completion and opening of this renovation will further promote the rapid east-west connection of Zhangpu Town and enhance the travel service experience of the masses.
Zhonghuayuan Road (Jiangpu Road - Xiaoyihe Road)
Maintenance improvement works
On December 25, 2021, the maintenance and improvement project of Zhonghuayuan Road (Jiangpu Road - Xiaoyihe Road) was completed and opened to traffic. The project has eliminated the original road diseases, and the traffic efficiency and traffic comfort have been greatly improved.
Zuchong Road (Xiangshi Highway - Yanglingang Bridge)
Renovation works
On December 27, 2021, the reconstruction project of Zuchong Road (Xiangshi Highway - Yanglinggang Bridge) was opened for traffic.
The project is located in the north-central area of Bacheng Town, Kunshan City, the road starts at the current Xiangshi Highway, extends south across the Sukuntai Expressway and connects with the north side of the Yanglingang Bridge, with a total length of 2.972 kilometers, which is an important passage across the north-south direction of Kunshan.
Baimajing Road South Extension Project
On January 5, 2022, Baimajing Road (Ma'anshan Road - Chaoyang Road) was opened for traffic. The "Inner Ring West Line" planned in the city's "sixteen horizontal and twelve vertical three rings" framework road network system means that the inner ring road in our city has also achieved closed operation, and the third ring road is fully connected. The chaoyang road-zhonghuayuan section of the project is expected to be completed in May this year.

The scope of this renovation is located in the central urban area and Kunshan Economic and Technological Development Zone, after the transformation, the road traffic capacity and travel experience have been significantly improved, as the main road can play a more important transportation bearing effect. At present, the overall project is 99% complete and road marking work is underway.
Huguang Road (Zhenyang Road - Weita Road)
Huguang Road (Zhenyang Road - Weita Road) is located in the Nangang area on the west side of Zhangpu Town in the south of Kunshan, which is a reconstruction project for the old road, mainly to serve the internal travel along the line, and will reduce the traffic flow of Gangpu Road and Airport Road after opening to traffic, bringing convenience to nearby factories and residents. At present, the overall project is 99% complete, and some sidewalks are under construction.
Shanpu East Road (Nanwan Road - Huangpujiang Road)
Shanpu East Road is an east-west traffic artery in the industrial park north of Qiandeng Town. The construction of the project meets the needs of economic development, effectively improves the existing traffic situation, gives full play to the social benefits of highway traffic, and improves the basic supporting bearing capacity of the industrial park in the north of Qiandeng Town. At present, the overall completion of the project is 95%, and the remaining sidewalks and green traffic security facilities are under construction.
