A female security inspector sat in front of the X-ray perspective display, staring at the screen of the security inspector and checking the luggage on the conveyor belt, she was Feng Shuxian, the 3rd class security inspector of the security inspection workshop of Changsha South Railway Station of Guangzhou Railway Group Company.

Putting your luggage on a conveyor belt, going through the security gate, and undergoing a hand check are the three passes that passengers must pass. Under normal circumstances, passengers will not go through security checks for more than 3 minutes, although the time is not long, but the process is very strict.

Security inspectors are like a "gate", using responsibility to build a security barrier, so that all kinds of dangerous goods can not be hidden, to ensure the safety of passengers.

After the start of the Spring Festival, between 8:30 and 16:00 every day is the peak period of passenger flow, the security inspection work must not only increase the intensity, but also speed up, and each security inspector is in a state of high load operation.

Passengers' luggage passes through the security machine and displays different shapes and colors on the screen of the security checker. Organic substances such as water bottles and clothes are orange on the security checker, and items such as knives are different shades of blue. Feng Shuxian should judge whether there are suspicious objects in the passenger's luggage according to different shapes and colors. Once it is found to be suspicious, it is necessary to further check the box to confirm.

At 11:40, Feng Shuxian found suspicious items of nail polish in the luggage of passenger Liu Mou. Liu opened the suitcase and pulled out 6 bottles of nail polish. She told Liu that there were 8 bottles of nail polish, but Liu only admitted that there were 6 bottles. Finally, Feng Shuxian took out 2 more bottles from the mezzanine of the suitcase, and Liu had to apologize in a low voice.

Feng Shuxian said: "Whenever a class has to check more than 1,200 pieces of luggage, an average of more than 80 pieces of prohibited items such as nail polish, mousse, hair gel, scissors and so on will be seized. ”

On February 1, 2010, Feng Shuxian was recruited to changsha south railway station as a security inspector. Security inspection work is labor-intensive, working long hours, and often needs to work overtime when encountering holidays or major activities. But Feng Shuxian cherished this hard-won job and persisted for 11 years on this workbench of less than 0.5 square meters.

At 10:20 on May 15, 2013, a male passenger aged about 40 entered the station from the West Square with a highly simulated pistol and 10 rounds of ammunition, and was seized by Feng Shuxian on the spot.

At 12:10 on July 9, 2014, a 50-year-old female passenger with a bottle of flower lotion in her bag refused to cooperate with the inspection. Feng Shuxian patiently did the ideological work, and after 5 minutes, the passenger agreed to turn in and apologized.

In the past 11 years, Feng Shuxian has seized tens of thousands of dangerous goods of all kinds. She served diligently, worked hard, and used the rest time to transfer the information entrusted by the passengers to the designated place, and never accepted any remuneration.

The reporter learned that there are more than 280 security inspectors at Changsha South Railway Station, divided into 3 groups on duty. Like Feng Shuxian, they silently adhere to the small workbench, keeping contraband out of the door and escorting the travel safety of the majority of passengers.
