Compared with 2020, the bird observation data of daxing airport north runway in 2021 was reduced by 60%, and the bird strike incident was reduced by 80%. At present, this system has been extended to Shenzhen Airport.

The intelligent bird monitoring system is an integrated bird repellent system independently developed by Daxing Airport, which will be officially opened in the north runway of Daxing Airport in 2020. The system changes the original means of relying on the human eye to identify and observe birds, uses the photoelectric system to realize the function of automatically identifying birds, and independently chooses to activate the corresponding side lamp directional bird repellent equipment to quickly drive away birds, making bird observation data more scientific and accurate.

Daxing Airport North Runway Intelligent Bird Monitoring System consists of three parts: side lamp bird repellent equipment, photoelectric monitoring equipment and intelligent control system. Among them, the side lamp bird repellent equipment is a bird repellent equipment with foldability designed with reference to the parameters of the runway side light, which integrates the side lamp function and the bird repellent function, and is placed in the 15-meter area outside the shoulder of the runway, which can effectively alleviate the bird pressure in the core area. The photoelectric detection equipment can monitor the bird conditions in the core area of the runway and the responsibility area, and identify the corresponding bird species through the matching bird information database, which realizes bird monitoring. The intelligent control system is the "brain" of bird repellent equipment and photoelectric monitoring equipment, which realizes bird identification, bird early warning, equipment linkage, and equipment health management through data processing, and forms a working mode of active bird repellent and directional bird repellent.

According to the relevant person in charge of Daxing Airport, the system has initially realized the real-time information interaction between bird defense equipment and equipment, improved the efficiency of bird control and bird repellent effect, and prevented and reduced the occurrence of bird strike aircraft to the greatest extent.
