On January 16, at a slaughterhouse in Changde, Hunan Province, a buffalo waiting to be slaughtered suddenly went crazy, and after injuring a staff member of the slaughterhouse, he bumped into an old lady. Subsequently, local police opened fire and killed the injured buffalo.

On the evening of the 17th, Mr. Chen (pseudonym), a villager in Qinglin Village, Taoyuan County, Changde, told Jimu News that the buffalo that was killed injured a total of two people, "one is a young man, the other is an old lady." "According to Mr. Chen, the injured buffalo weighed about a thousand pounds, and somehow they were frightened, out of control, and scurrying around." It is said that the man was hit in the leg, the specific injury is not clear, and the old lady's injury is relatively minor. After calling the police, someone from the police station came and killed the buffalo. Mr. Chen said.

"Later, the old lady and I both went to the hospital for examination, and it was all minor abrasions, nothing major." Mr. Wang said he worked in the slaughterhouse and that the injured buffalo had just been purchased from out of town and was ready to be slaughtered. It may have smelled blood, was frightened, knocked Mr. Wang, and later rushed out, bumping into an old lady, who fell off a stool, and after examination, both of them were in no serious trouble. Mr. Wang said that after the incident, the local police station sent someone to deal with the injured buffalo.
