To start a new adventure, you don't need to have extraordinary abilities. You just have to fly and let it go.
—Elen Lescoat
Lovi Fairy
In any known world, you certainly can't find the "Lovi Fairy", because this cute girl will only appear in the computer of French illustrator Elen Lescoat.
To be precise, the "Loewy Fairy" is a cute set of children's illustration characters. At first, Ellen only wanted to use this to record her daily life, but later, she was gradually attracted to the story she constructed, so more characters were brought into it by Alan, and the "Lovie Fairy" gradually had its own cosmic system.
Alan's "Lovi Fairy" is usually a cute and lively little girl, around them, you can not only see foxes, rabbits, cats, bears and other cute little animals, as well as legendary unicorns, elves are also around it, becoming an indispensable friend of the fairies. Stepping into the territory of the fairies, it seems that everything can be cheered up at any time, showing a fairytale-like encounter in a language you can't understand.
Alan's "Loewy Fairy" is a joyful spiritual paradise, where all living things are partners, and there is no longer a strangeness and estrangement between species; here, all complexity will be simplified, and all sadness will be dissolved. You just need to keep your richest imagination and bury it in this paradise, and you may be the next "Lovi fairy".
Approach Ellen
Originally from France, Allen currently lives with her husband, two children and her pet cat in the Brittany region of western France. For Allen, painting has always been the illuminator of her life. As a child, she used to draw paintbrushes to depict the stories that happened around her, and after graduating from college, she received professional art training, and becoming a full-time illustrator was always her dream.
Publish books
In 2012, Allen quit her job at an advertising agency and was finally able to create warm and colorful illustrations for her audience as a professional illustrator. After fully understanding her own artistic style, Allen gradually shifted the focus of her creation to the drawing of children's books, and in the past ten years, Ellen has cooperated with major publishing houses to publish several sets of children's picture books, and the story content still revolves around her favorite "Lovi Fairy".
Ellen says that artistic creation is a romantic release for her, and she craves both a sense of accomplishment and a willingness to wander in her comfort zone, telling her story in the most intimate and familiar form. She does not think that her creative space is too narrow, but believes that illustrators should work intensively in a certain subdivision, so as to make the characters more abundant and the story more fulfilling.
Of course, Ellen's form of work is not limited to a single children's picture book, she also looks at a group of decorative posters drawn by the originator of the illustration, Alphonse Mucha, and uses it as a model, with the help of the image of "Lovi Fairy", while paying tribute to Mucha, but also reshaping the classic characters in the poster. When the former pictorial girl faded her graceful and luxurious image and turned to a lively and cute fairy, a classic story has a new connotation.
A fairy tale of a lifetime
Jumping from the original familiar, even numb, circle of life to a novel and unknown space, many people like to find a sense of excitement in this transition to detach from the original life and experience the possibility of another life in the new environmental system. Allen is no exception, she will spend more time on the idea of new characters and new plots, for her, this ever-expanding creative rhythm seems to be a fantasy adventure that can be automatically renewed, as long as her inspiration is condensed, her work is a fairy tale that will not break.
Allen always said she wanted to be able to draw a lifetime of illustrations for children in the way she loved. Although Allen's works are not the most outstanding among the many children's illustrations, their fresh and vibrant colors, rich and imaginative ideas, and the maternal love injected into the paintings from a female perspective have built a fantasy world with a unified style and a strong sense of substitution for young readers. And she herself is a paddle, helping the children in the painting to sail to the other side of the comfortable and warm fairy tale.
Elen Lescoat
For the big friends who have already entered adulthood, occasionally enjoy a group of children's illustrations, reduce the fatigue caused by some rational thinking, and let their minds return to the initial calm state, even if they cannot be deposited in the ever-changing beauty like children, at least they can let the heavy body and mind take a nap. After all, the childlike heart is always there, but we have long been accustomed to turning a blind eye, or having nowhere to put it.
