At 10:30 on January 18, accompanied by the sound of the train's whistle, the 75,010 China-Europe train carrying 50 40-foot containers slowly departed from Quanzhou East Railway Station, marking the successful launch of the China-Europe train (Quanzhou-Moscow).

This is also the first China-Europe express train in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road. The train will travel all the way north through the Manzhouli port to Moscow, Russia, with a total journey of 10,960 kilometers and an estimated time of 20 days. Compared with the original sea freight transportation mode, the transportation time can be saved by 25 days.

Jiang Mingfu, director of the Zhangzhou depot of China Railway Nanchang Bureau Group Co., Ltd., said that the China-Europe train carried about 445 tons of cargo and a total cargo value of about 10.37 million yuan, mainly containing sanitary products, bags, shoes and handicrafts and other Quanzhou light industrial products, and the goods were inspected and released at the Jinjiang Land Port in Quanzhou.

Quanzhou is an important strategic fulcrum city and pioneer area, the main source of goods in Fujian Province, rich in private economic industry clusters, and the rapid development of commercial logistics and cross-border e-commerce. In 2021, the annual trade volume between Quanzhou and countries (regions) along the "Sea Silk Road" will exceed 100 billion yuan.
