The Post: Arsenal are interested in a visa-free Diego Costa and have met informally

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are interested in bringing in Diego Costa.

Diego Costa, 33, has released his contract with Atlético Mineiro and is now a free agent who just joined the team last summer and now news suggests Arsenal are interested in signing him.

Costa has posted on Instagram that he has ended his partnership with Atlético Mineiro, and it is understood he has held an informal meeting with Arsenal.

Arsenal want to bring in a striker in the winter window, with Aubameyang expected to leave after falling out with Arteta, meaning the Gunners now need to find a replacement.

Costa, who played for Chelsea, made 120 appearances for the Blues and scored 59 goals, is seen by Arsenal as a potential short-term option.

But Arsenal also need to face competition from other teams, with Corinthians, São Paulo and Cadiz all having a scandal with Costa.
