On September 4, some netizens reported that on the morning of the same day, an old man accidentally fell down when he got off the platform of the southbound station of Caijia Market Station on Shenlong Avenue in Wuhan Economic Development Zone.
On the afternoon of the 15th, at the above bus stop, the old man Mr. Wang showed the reporter how to get on and off the bus stop.
The old man Mr. Wang demonstrated to the reporter while speaking: "Which leg is strong, first put which leg on the platform, and then press the knee with your hand, the leg and the hand at the same time to force forward, while the body leans forward, this is up." ”

There is a primary school near the station, and when the reporter visited, it was the school after school, and many elderly people led children to wait for the bus at this station. When the bus enters the station, many elderly people with leg and foot inconvenience get off the platform sideways, "so it is not easy to fall, otherwise it is easy to rush forward when coming down", and children are also cautious when they get off the platform.
The reporter noticed that after an old man waited for the child to get on the platform, he supported the child's hand on the platform with one hand, and the cart under the platform with the other hand, and used both hands to exert force before boarding the platform.
"I was in the sixth grade, and I remember when I was in elementary school, the platform was so high, it was a little higher for elementary school students." A primary school student told reporters.
The reporter visited a total of 5 pairs of 10 bus stops along Shenlong Avenue, of which 6 bus stops have a height of more than 30 centimeters, and the other 3 bus stops are lower than the green belt curbs on both sides, of which the platform height of the Westbound Station of Boya Kindergarten on Bihu Road is about 10 centimeters.
During the visit and measurement, the reporter observed the bus stops of a large number of main roads such as Houhu Avenue, Development Avenue, Qintai Avenue, Friendship Avenue, and Zhongbei Road along the way, and the height of the platform did not exceed 20 centimeters.

The reporter learned from the Wuhan Bus Group that the bus group is only responsible for the station signs, station sheds and other facilities and equipment.
The staff of the bus group said that the bus platform was too high; some because at the beginning of the construction, the road edge itself was very high, and some were originally not high, but after the road transformation, it became higher.
"We have indeed received many complaints that the bus platform is too high, but the Wuhan Bus Group does not have the authority to deal with the platform base, and most of the height reduction is carried out only by contacting the construction during the road reconstruction process." After the road was remodeled, we didn't know who to look for to lower the height. The staff said.
The office staff of the Wuhan Economic Development Zone Construction Bureau said that the Construction Bureau is responsible for the lowering of the bus platform, but it is impossible to adjust the height arbitrarily in response to citizens' complaints. There is also no uniform standard for bus platform height.
35 cm is really inconvenient for the elderly, can it be adjusted? The staff member said that the bus platform should be re-excavated to reduce it, "to consider the cost, you can not adjust the height of the bus platform for the situation of one person."
