According to well-known transfer journalist Skira, Newcastle hopes to bring in Atalanta player Zapata to strengthen the front.
According to reports, Atlanta offered Zapata a contract through 2025 with an annual salary of 5 million euros plus a floating bonus. Atalanta generously faces players for at least 40 million euros, but team manager Gasperini sees Zapata as a core player and believes it cannot be sold.
Zapata has played in 22 games for Atalanta in all competitions this season, scoring 12 goals and having seven assists.
