But for Yue Zhongqi, it seems that many people feel that he has not been reused, in fact, Yue Zhongqi's status in the Yongzheng and Qianlong periods is actually relatively high, but the military power at that time was actually controlled by the emperor, so it does not reflect the degree of reuse.
Yongzheng period
Yue Zhongqi first began to join the army in Sichuan during the fifty years of the Kangxi Dynasty, and because of the merits of Tsewang Alabutan who judged Tibet, he was promoted to the governor of Sichuan, that is to say, the army of Sichuan Province was under his control.
Later, during the Yongzheng period, Yue Zhongqi followed Nian Qianyao to quell the rebellion of Qinghai Luobuzang Danjin and was made the crown prince Taibao and the viceroy of Gansu.
In the third year of Yongzheng, Nian Qianyao fell, and Yue Zhongqi succeeded Nian Qianyao as the governor of Sichuan and Shaanxi, leading the army Shangshu, who was a member of the imperial court and had a heavy army in his hands, which was very prominent.
Defeated and imprisoned
At this time, Yue Zhongqi, with heavy troops in his hands, with his personal ability, prestige and the strength of the three provinces, can definitely set off a catastrophe, which is what Yongzheng is most worried about, and then two things happened that made Yongzheng distrust Yue Zhongqi.
The first thing happened in the fifth year of Yongzheng, a madman suddenly shouted on the road, Yue Zhongqi is going to rebel, although later Yongzheng chose to trust Yue Zhongqi and executed this madman, but in Yongzheng's view, what a madman said may have more credibility than what normal people say.
The second thing was the Zeng Jing incident, when Zeng Jing instigated the anti-Qing restoration, personally wrote to Yue Zhongqi to let him lead the army against the Qing, Yue Zhongqi received the letter, directly said that it was handed over to Yongzheng, Yongzheng did not do anything to Yue Zhongqi afterwards, but he did not trust him very much.
Later, in the tenth year of Yongzheng, there was a rebellion under the Dzungars, Yue Zhongqi once again led the army to quell the rebellion, but this counter-rebellion was not smooth, the North Road army killed seven princes and ministers, and afterwards Yongzheng had doubts about Yue Zhongqi's ability, coupled with the Manchu ministers next to him to stir up trouble, Yue Zhongqi was eventually imprisoned.
Qianlong period
In the thirteenth year of Qianlong, the Great Jinchuan Rebellion occurred, and the Qing Dynasty army was defeated many times, which made Qianlong a headache, but Qianlong thought of Yue Zhongqi, who was very good at fighting here, so he reused him, and Yue Zhongqi also lived up to expectations and quickly resolved the rebellion.
In the fifteenth year of Qianlong, Yue Zhongqi was already 64 years old, but he was still able to lead troops to go out and quell the Zhuermo rebellion in Tibet.
In the nineteenth year of Qianlong, Yue Zhongqi died of illness, and Qianlong listed him as one of the five major heroes of Qianlong, which shows that Yue Zhongqi still attaches great importance to it.

Relatively speaking, Yue Zhongqi was reused during the Yongzheng and Qianlong periods, but in the historical background of the continuous strengthening of imperial power, the emperor would not give up military power to anyone, which is why Yue Zhongqi did not seem to be reused.
