Works by Former Sumito noBunobu Kuniyoshiji (Edo period, Kanei, 1624). Kiji was a swordsman who was active in the Edo period from the Azuchi-Momoyama period and was the thirteenth generation of the Shinkoku school. The second son of the original "Yoshisada" of the Chikuzen Shinkoku school, he inherited his father's forging techniques and was active in the imperial forging of the Kuroda clan, the lord of the Chikuzen Domain at that time. The certificate bears the name of the previous holder , Masao Nakamura. This knife is very vintage, and it is still of excellent quality and is an excellent collection of Japanese knives.
