The Telegraph: Martinez's request for both roles has been rejected, and Everton may need to find a new manager

According to the Daily Telegraph, the Toffee may need to re-find the right person because the Belgian Football Association has refused Robert Martinez to be the manager of Everton.

On Sunday, after firing Benitez, Everton reached out to the Belgian Football Federation and wanted to invite Robert Martinez back to Goodison Park. Martinez himself has promised that in preparation for the World Cup in Qatar, he will not give up the Belgian national team, but hopes to play both roles.

Robert Martinez, whose contract with the Belgian Football Federation expires at the end of the year, could resign after the World Cup after making it clear that he wants to go to the club to coach.

In English football, there is precedent for coaching both club and national teams. In 2009, when he was in charge of the Russian national team, Hiddink was the interim manager of Chelsea. However, 2009 was not a major year, and Hiddink has been able to stay at Stamford Bridge as interim manager, leaving after winning the FA Cup.
