He was juxtaposed with the six marshals, imprisoned for 13 years after the founding of the people's republic, and lived to the age of 100 by the words of great men

In Wuhan, Hubei Province, after the death of a centenarian named Wang Shengrong, the secretary of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee also made a special trip to Wang Shengrong's home to comfort and visit his relatives. He Guoqiang, then director of the Central Organization Department, also entrusted relevant leaders of Hubei Province to visit Wang Shengrong's relatives. So, what is the origin of this Wang Shengrong? His death would alarm the central and local leaders.

In fact, Wang Shengrong's revolutionary qualifications are very deep, and it can be said that he is an old revolutionary with quite old qualifications. As early as 1927, Wang Shengrong, who was only 20 years old, joined the Communist Party. Because of his outstanding work ability and strong organizational ability, he has successively served as a member of the Central Bureau of the Soviet Union and the chief of the Young Pioneers.

It is worth mentioning that on November 25, 1931, when the Central Revolutionary Military Commission was established, Wang Shengrong was successfully elected as a member of the Chinese Young Pioneers as a representative of the Chinese Young Pioneers. Its committee members also include six founding marshals, including President Zhu Laozong, Peng Laozong, He Laozong, Ye Shuai, and Xu Shuai, as well as great people, Tan Zhenlin, and other meritorious figures of the republic. It can be seen from this that Wang Shengrong, at that time, had a very high status in our party, and was once ranked alongside six marshals.

In August 1945, Wang Shengrong was appointed secretary of the Qiqihar Municipal Party Committee. After staying in Qiqihar for more than a year, that is, in December 1946, Wang Shengrong was organizationally assigned to the position of political commissar of the Fifth Column. However, just before Wang Shengrong was preparing to become a political commissar, he accidentally injured his left leg by a guard. Due to the limitations of the medical conditions at that time, in order to save his life, Wang Shengrong had to accept the life-saving plan of sawing off his left leg. Since then, Wang Shengrong has become a disabled person, but this is only the beginning of his tragic fate.

However, in March 1950, Wang Shengrong was arrested and imprisoned for two years for using tungsten sand exports to exchange for machinery and military supplies, and was expelled from the party, and his position was demoted from the deputy ministerial level to the deputy department level. And it was not until 1957 that Wang Shengrong was rehabilitated, restored to the party, and enjoyed vice-provincial treatment. However, not long after, Wang Shengrong was arrested and imprisoned again in that special era because of his words.

It was not until 1978 that Wang Shengrong finally bid farewell to more than ten years of prison life. And in 1979, the state finally revoked all sanctions against him, gave him complete rehabilitation, restored his party membership, and all his original treatment.

However, someone asked Wang Shengrong: "You have been in prison for so many years and have received so many unfair treatments, how did you survive?" Wang Shengrong said that when he was in prison for the first time, the great man had asked General Xu Haidong to visit him in prison. Xu Haidong said: The great man asked me to tell you Wang Shengrong that it is better to die than to live. Live and say, all problems can be solved. This sentence of the great man is the biggest motivation for me to survive, Wang Shengrong said excitedly.

Wang Shengrong indeed did not live up to the expectations of the great man, no matter how difficult the environment was, how much he was wronged, he lived strongly, and finally lived to the age of 100, becoming a veritable long-lived old man.
