Gulou Court opened a new model of online litigation

Fuzhou News Network, January 17 (Fuzhou Daily reporter Ruan Guanda) online participation in the inquest, so that the judicial process saves time and effort. A few days ago, the Gulou Court pioneered the inquest process in the city to allow parties to participate in the inquest process through online means to ensure that the trial process is convenient and smooth.

The Gulou Court recently accepted a case in which two companies contracted a dispute. Company A claimed that the quality of the products provided by Company B was unqualified, and the two parties held their own opinions on the use of the equipment during the trial, and after the decision of the official, the disputed equipment was inspected on the spot. However, Company B is far away, and if it sends a person in charge to the scene, it will cost a lot of money and is not conducive to epidemic prevention and control.

With the consent of the parties, the magistrate decided to allow the parties to participate in the inquest process through online means. At the scene of the inquest, the adjudicators connected with Company B by video link through the online conference software, demonstrated the inquest process and recorded it in the case.

It is reported that the newly amended Civil Procedure Law of the People's Republic of China, which came into effect on January 1 this year, stipulates that civil litigation activities carried out online through information network platforms have the same legal effect as offline litigation activities. This online investigation also opened a new model of online litigation throughout the city.
