author:Hadron Science

Qianlong, whose name was Ai Xin Jueluo and Manulife, was the fourth emperor of the Qing Dynasty after dingding the Central Plains, and he reigned for more than sixty years, and he was also the longest-reigning emperor in Chinese history, and even the longest-lived emperor, at the age of eighty-nine. Then such an emperor, his birth can be described as confusing.

Where was the fourth emperor of the Qing Dynasty, the Qianlong Emperor, born?

According to historical records, Qianlong thought that he was born in the Yong Prince's Mansion, which was located in and Aroundong, northeast of the present-day city of Beijing, and was a famous Buddhist shrine, which was the yong prince's mansion at the time of Kangxi. Qianlong once wrote such a poem: "Come to see the day of the people, I also read the first birth", which means that I am from the palace of Prince Yong.

But there is a strange place, that is, Qianlong's son, The Jiaqing Emperor, after Qianlong's death, wrote Qianlong's birthplace as Chengde Mountain Resort in his posthumous photos. Because Qianlong often hunted in the summer resort, his son wrote such a poem: "Qingshan Xiang Kaihua Zhuhong, born to reminisce about the old times palace", which means that Qianlong was born in the summer resort. After the Daoguang Emperor discovered this problem, he sent people eight hundred miles to hurry up, retrieve the posthumous photo, and change it to Qianlong's portrait and hang it in the summer resort.

So was Qianlong born in prince Yong's mansion, or was it a summer resort in Chengde? So far, the academic community has not had a positive answer, and it is still a historical puzzle.
