Since the inception of Rolex, women have occupied important seats and have accompanied the company to create brilliant achievements. Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf created accurate, reliable and durable watches that, in addition to adapting to the increasingly active lifestyles of the twentieth century, also designed fashion watches suitable for men and women. He admires pioneering women, and swimmer MexiconS Gleitze is a classic example.

A pioneer in the field of deep-sea exploration, an internationally renowned marine biologist, and a resident explorer of the National Geographic Society, Dr. Sylvia Earle has been exploring the seabed for more than fifty years, and her enthusiasm for work has not diminished, as dedicated as she was when she first dived at the age of sixteen. As praised by The New York Times, she is a well-deserved "queen of the deep sea" and a brave and fearless global ocean conservation leader.

Her first collaboration with Rolex dates back to 1970. At the time, she was a member of the Tektite II subsea science program. The marine exploration program, which aims to test the effects of long-term seafloor habitat on human health, is made up of women and wearing Rolex. She has been a Rolex spokesperson since 1982 and has won numerous accolades for her active advocacy for the protection of the ocean and its fragile ecosystems. "We rely heavily on natural systems to thrive," she says. The more we care about the ocean and other natural environments is more about ourselves. ”

Mission Blue, founded by Sylvia Earle, aims to bring together global efforts to include 20% of the world's oceans in protected areas by 2020 through public awareness, scientific expeditions, and collaboration with international businesses and government agencies. At the outset of the plan, less than 4 percent of the world's oceans were protected in some form, and less than 2 percent of the waters were off-limits to commercial fishing. After years of tireless efforts, The Blue Mission has long drawn the attention of the expanding Hope Point network around the world, and an important indicator of the program's success is to rescue more damaged and overdeveloped waters and bring them into formal marine protection.
