Master Zuo, 38, is a taxi driver at Zhuzhou Dadi Taxi Company and has been driving taxis for nearly 10 years.
At 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, he received three young passengers (two men and one woman) at the entrance of a bathing center on Lushan Road in Tianyuan District. The other party said that he wanted to go to the Evergrande Mingdu Community on Hengshan Road, and Master Zuo immediately drove to the destination.
Arriving at their destination, a man got out of the car, while two passengers in the back seat said they were going to The Pass. After negotiating the price, Master Zuo continued to drive.
"When they reached the Maple Creek Bridge (Six Bridges), the two somehow quarreled." Master Zuo said that the man in the back seat opened the right car door, which frightened him a lot.
"Brother, don't open the door when driving, it's not safe!" Master Zuo hurriedly persuaded, but the male passenger ignored it and repeatedly opened the door several times.
Men were dissuaded from beating women, and brothers were beaten
After the vehicle pulled down the Maple Creek Bridge, Master Zuo pulled over and persuaded the two passengers in the back not to quarrel.
The other side said that they did not have to take care of their affairs. Seeing that the two people paused their quarrel, Master Zuo continued to drive.
Unexpectedly, the more the two quarreled, the more severe, the man repeatedly punched and beat the woman, and the woman kept calling for help. Master Zuo once again persuaded the man not to make noise in the car, and got out of the car to solve it.
"Drive your car!" The man became furious, swung his right fist vigorously, and struck more than ten times in the face of the left master. The beaten woman woke up and persuaded the man not to hit anyone.
"My head hurt and my glasses flew off!" Master Zuo did not fight back. For safety reasons, he pulled the taxi aside.
The man continued to chase master Zuo. Master Zuo ran out of the car and dialed 110 to call the police.
Seeing master Zuo calling the police, the man returned and dragged the woman away. Master Zuo followed behind, and the man turned around and continued to shout, intending to continue to chase him.
In this way, the man and woman disappeared into the night.
His brother suffered a head injury and was hospitalized for concussion
Surveillance video from the taxi showed that Master Zuo was beaten at 11:41 p.m. The man who beat him was burly, spoke with a northern accent, and was suspected of drinking alcohol.
The police at the Zhukou police station rushed to the police and followed the direction in which the man and woman fled, but did not find the perpetrator.
After 4 hours, Master Zuo went to the Municipal People's Hospital for treatment. He was diagnosed with swelling of both eyes, severe injuries to his left ear, soft tissue injuries to his head and face, and concussions. After that, he had to be hospitalized and gave up the car business.
After the video of Master Zuo being beaten and not returning the hand spread on the Internet, it caused heated discussion among netizens, and everyone believed that the behavior of the murderous man affected the safety of driving, and they denounced it.
