In the ninth year of Qianlong, Yu Minzhong was instructed to preside over the Shanxi Township Examination; in the tenth year of Qianlong, Qianlong ordered him to supervise the study of Shandong and Zhejiang, and later served as a study room; Qianlong served as the left attendant of the Punishment Department for twenty-one years; and Qianlong served as the minister of military aircraft for twenty-five years;

In the thirty-ninth year of Qianlong, the palace eunuch Gao Yuncong was arrested for leaking secrets, and after interrogation, he confessed that he had a close personal relationship with Yu Minzhong.
This made Qianlong very angry, believing that Yu Min had the idea of becoming Yan Song, so he wanted to get rid of Minzhong quickly.
However, killing Yipin's chancellor for no reason was always bad for the reputation of the Qianlong Emperor, so Qianlong wanted him to commit suicide.
2. Forced to die in Minzhong

Qianlong first looked for various opportunities to knock on Minzhong's side, suggesting that he had already provoked Long Yan's anger and that only one death could make Qianlong discouraged, but Yu Minzhong did not pay attention to Qianlong's hints and pretended not to understand.
This made Qianlong feel a little powerless.
Later, Qianlong simply asked some ministers to hint at Yu Minzhong when they came into contact with him on weekdays, and advised him to commit suicide.
Qianlong had thought that yu Minzhong should be able to understand such a blunt "hint". Therefore, he ordered the ministers to go to Yu Minzhong's house to mourn en masse, and to hold a funeral for Yu Minzhong in advance so that he could not commit suicide.
Qianlong obviously underestimated Yu Minzhong's desire to survive, and in the face of the Manchu Dynasty Wenwu who came to mourn for him, Yu Minzhong should eat and drink at home, and there was no delay, and sometimes he even took the initiative to appear in front of these ministers who came to mourn and talk with them.
In the end, it made the ministers cry and laugh, and the scene was extremely funny.
Yu Minzhong repeatedly disrupted Qianlong's plans, so that Qianlong could not bear it anymore, and even wanted to directly order Minzhong to die many times.
Hindered by his own reputation, Qianlong gave up his plan to directly order, and Qianlong understood that there was no good way to force Yu Minzhong to commit suicide, and he could only let him willingly commit suicide.
So Qianlong ordered someone to find a bed of Dravidian sutras and send them to Yu Minzhong's mansion, sneering: "I see that he will not die this time."
At this time, Yu Minzhong was pretending to be crazy and selling fools in the mansion, and when he saw the Dhara Sutra sent by Qianlong's orders, he was immediately stunned on the spot.
After a few moments, I saw Yu Minzhong put away the smile on his face, his expression solemnly tidying up, and in a short time he drank the dove and committed suicide.
Third, the magic of a quilt
Yu Minzhong would rather oppose Qianlong over and over again, even if he provoked Qianlong Longyan's anger, he would not want to commit suicide, why could this quilt instantly make him change his mood and kill himself?
What is the meaning of this bed of sutras? And what does it represent?
Originally, the Dravidian Sutra was also called the Past Life Quilt. It is embroidered with many Buddhist scriptures, and in Buddhism it is believed that this quilt has great meritorious power, and if it is covered on the body of the deceased, it can be blessed to the deceased, and there will be many blessings in the next life.
The Dravidian Sutra was strictly controlled during the Qing Dynasty, and no one was allowed to use it privately unless rewarded by the emperor.
The Qianlong Emperor gave Yu Minzhong this bed of dhara sutras, and the meaning is also obvious:
If Yu Minzhong can obediently commit suicide, then he will still keep the face that Qianlong gave him and let him be buried in the scenery, if not, then Qianlong will have no regard for his affection.
Yu Minzhong understood this meaning that Qianlong wanted to express, so he would honestly drink the dove and commit suicide when he saw the Dravidian Sutra.
