In order to implement the spirit of the speech made by State Councilor, Director of the National Narcotics Control Commission and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi at the Seventh Conference on Cooperation in Combating Crime between the Ministries of Public Security of China and Vietnam, curb drug illegal and criminal activities in the Border Areas of China and Vietnam, and jointly safeguard the stable development of the Border Areas of China and Vietnam, on October 20, the 2021 Joint Anti-Drug Action launch and work deployment meeting in the Sino-Vietnamese border areas was held in Pingxiang, Guangxi. The Ministries of Public Security of China and Vietnam have decided to jointly deploy a joint anti-drug operation in the 2021 China-Vietnam border area from October 1 to December 31 this year.

The 8 member units of the Chinese Action Leading Group and the public security anti-narcotics departments of 13 cities and prefectures, including Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan and Yunnan, zhanjiang, Nanning, Haikou and Kunming, respectively sent personnel to attend the meeting. After the meeting, the participants went to the drug checkpoint on the Border between China and Vietnam to learn about the open seizure of drugs.
