As we all know, no matter how big or small a war is, there are always many strange things that happen. For example, Italian soldiers during World War II built their own cells after surrendering. The man we are talking about below is very similar to this group of Italian soldiers, but his purpose of escaping from prison is not to escape, but to date.

After the outbreak of World War II, Graceley responded to the call of the state and directly joined the anti-German queue. Unfortunately, however, the barber was arrested during the Dunkirk evacuation.
So, after dozens of weeks of death marches, Graceley finally made it to Poland alive. There is a saying that if you do not die, you will be blessed. It was also here that the barber began his legendary life. After all, Graceley was still a prisoner of war, so work was inevitable, and one day Graceley was assigned to work in a certain quarry, and more coincidentally, the daughter of the quarry owner, Rosa, was also there.
Eventually, the two fell in love at first sight and began their dating journey. One was a prisoner of war and the other was Jewish, and from here we can see how much risk the two are taking to date. However, despite the dangers, Jews and hairdressers see each other 3 times a week. Maybe the German soldiers didn't notice, or maybe the Germans were too lazy to take care of it.
So, not only was Graceley's escape not exposed, but he also brought back a radio from outside. Of course, to thank his fellow inmates for their help, Graceley brings back a lot of good food every time he comes back from a date. However, this state of affairs did not last long, and Graceley was taken to another prison.
The prison is at least 400 kilometers from Sweden, so any soldiers who escaped, apart from being shot, starved to death on the road. The Germans, who were in charge of guarding the camps, were well aware of the surrounding terrain and were very lax in their care of prisoners of war. So, in such a situation, what would Gresley do?
Because Graceley was a hairdresser, he often gave haircuts to soldiers in other POW camps. So, on the occasion of the haircut, he told his former cellmate the location of the date and asked the inmate to convey it to Rosa. In this way, the two began to date madly again. According to statistics, Graceley escaped more than 200 times in total for a date, and not once was caught.
So, what is the final outcome of the two? After World War II, Graceley returned to England and continued to work as a hairdresser, while Rosa married a Jew and eventually died in childbirth.
