Already expected? Xhaka's red card suspension qualified Arsenal to apply for an extension

On January 15, Arsenal officially announced an application to postpone Sunday's match against Tottenham Due to the lack of players in the team.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal currently have only 12 outfielders in their squad, while the Premier League rules extend a team when it has fewer than 14 available players (1 goalkeeper + 13 outfielders), and Arsenal meets this criterion.

Currently missing arsenal players include Kolasinac, Xhaka, Erdegaard, Saka, Fuan, Cedric, Slo Ronaldo, Ernenni, Aubameyang, Thomas and Pepe. It is worth mentioning that it was because of Xhaka's red card in the League Cup for Liverpool and the suspension of the next game that Arsenal qualified to apply for postponement.
