The NVIDIA 511.23 driver brings DLDSR quality technology: no game optimization required

NVIDIA has just released the latest GeForce 511.23 official graphics driver, bringing the deep learning hypersampling technology "DLDSR".

DLDSR can be seen as an enhanced version of the previous DSR technology, the same is high-resolution rendering, native resolution output mode, but added AI deep learning capabilities, enhance screen details, smooth object edges, reduce glare at the same time, the required input pixels are fewer, the official DLDSR 2.25x image quality can be comparable to DSR 4x, and there is a higher frame rate.

DLDSR technology is based on RTX GPU Tensor tensor core operations, so it only supports RTX 30 series and RTX 20 series graphics cards, but it is directly integrated in the driver, without special optimization of games, and can be used for any game after one-click opening.

AMD is also preparing a new supersampling technology RSR, which is also integrated into the driver and directly supports any game, claiming that the performance can be increased by up to 70%, but because the AMD GPU does not have a tensor core, it lacks AI computing enhancement.

In addition to DLDSR, version 511.23 of the driver also debuted optimized to support God of War, including DLSS, Reflex, and updated and optimized Rainbow Six: Xenomorph, Killer 3: Covenant, The Anacrusis, GRIT, and Monster Hunter: Rise.

In terms of new features, support for Windows 11 dynamic refresh rate, CUDA 11.6, OpenCL driver support for new extension specifications, compilers, and also support for the newly released RTX 3080 12GB.

Bug fix, solve the problems such as the text flicker disappearing under 12-bit color, flashing at the bottom of the desktop application screen, flashing random black screen under multiple screens, turning on G-Sync in the driver control panel or the mouse cursor stuck after the system control panel turned on HDR.
