On the 12th, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations issued a notice saying that it had signed an agreement with the Chinese government to officially launch the third phase of the FAO-China South-South cooperation plan.

Qu Dongyu, Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, and Tang Renjian, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China, signed the third phase of the General Agreement. The GATT emphasizes that "China is implementing the rural revitalization strategy and striving to promote the priority development of agriculture and rural areas", while fully highlighting the functions of fao in the areas of food security and nutrition, agriculture, fisheries and forestry, including "providing technical assistance to member states in the areas of sustainable development and enhanced livelihood building".

Qu Dongyu, Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, said that the GATT not only reflects the complementarity of China's experience and the priorities of the FAO's work, but also demonstrates China's continuous contribution to its own strength. The overall objective of the third phase of the FAO-China South-South Cooperation Programme is to support developing countries in achieving sustainable transformation of agri-food systems and to contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. The plan was established in 2009 and has achieved substantial substantive results to date.
