The UFC 273 tournament, which will be held in New York on April 10, Beijing time, will add two more high-profile matches, Kelvin Gastrum against French rising star Sultan Imałov, and jiu-jitsu queen Mackenzie Dunn against Tesia Torres.
Kelvin Gastrum (16-8, 6 K, 4 S, 1 N) is 30 years old and has a height of 175cm and an arm span of 182cm. He began his professional MMA career in 2010 and entered the UFC tournament in 2013 with a (5-0) TIF Ultimate Fighter to win the TIF championship of the season, and has achieved (11-8, 1 N) results in the UFC so far. After losing the UFC middleweight interim title in 2019 with Israel Adesanya, he lost to Darren Till in a disagreement and suffered a career 3-game defeat in the first set by Jack Hermansson. The February 2021 points win over Ian Heinisch has recently suffered two consecutive defeats, losing to Robert Whittaker and Jared Cannonier in April and August, respectively. Gestrum is currently 10th in the welterweight of the UFC official rankings.
Sultan Imałov (11-3, 5 K, 4 S) is 25 years old and has a height of 191 cm with an arm span of 191 cm. He began his professional MMA career in 2016 and won the TFL sub-middleweight championship in 2019. Joined the UFC in 2020 with a (8-2) score and five consecutive wins, and has so far achieved (3-1) in the UFC, the UFC debut points victory over Jordan Williams, the February 2021 point loss to Phil Hawes, the most recent two consecutive wins are the second set TKO to end the opponent, in July TKO Ian Heinisch, just in November TKO Edelman Edmen Shahbazyan. Imałov is currently 12th in the welterweight of the UFC official rankings.
Mackenzie Dunn (11-2,0 K,7 S) is 28 years old with a height of 163cm and an arm span of 160cm. Born in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, she has won several Jiu-Jitsu World Championships and two ADCC Wrestling Tournaments, started her professional MMA career in 2016, joined the UFC in 2018 with a score of (5-0), and has achieved a (6-2) result in the UFC so far. After losing to Amanda Ribas in 2019, he played a four-game winning streak starting in 2020, including the first innings in April 2021 to Nina Nunes, who unfortunately just lost to Marina Rodriguez in October. Dunn is currently ranked 5th in the women's grassweight in the official UFC rankings.
Tesia Torres (13-5, 1 K, 1 S) is 32 years old and has a height of 155cm with an arm span of 154cm. He began his professional MMA career in 2012 and entered the UFC tournament with a (4-0) result in the TUF Ultimate Fighter Selection in 2014, and has achieved a (9-5) result in the UFC so far. He suffered four consecutive career defeats from 2018 to 2019, losing to Jessica Andrade, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Zhang Weili and Marina Rodriguez. However, he then won three straights, beating Brianna Van Buren in points and TKO Sam Hughes in the first set, just after a points win over Angela Hill in August last year. Torres is currently ranked 7th in the women's grassweight in the official UFC rankings.
The UFC 273 was led by two championship gold belt titles, with current UFC featherweight champion Alexander Vocanowski (23-1, 11 K, 3 S) against challenger "Korean zombie" Jeong Eun (17-6, 6 K, 8 S). Current UFC junior welterweight champion Algameine Sterling (20-3, 2 K, 8 S) played the second-time champion United Against interim champion Peter Yan (16-2, 7 K, 1 S).
Other line-ups include Mexico's Erin Adana (13-6, 6 K, 3 S) against Rising Star Aspen Ladd (9-2, 6 K, 1 S).
