Striker Mayoral and midfielder Villar have returned to their home country of Spain for a medical examination. The two players will join Getafe in La Liga on loan.
Getafe are struggling to stay in La Liga, and they are in fourth-to-last La Liga with one more game, only one point ahead of Alaves, who are third-to-last in La Liga, and are in danger of relegation at any time.
Roma players Mayoral and Villar will help the team.
Villars, 23, joined Roma in January 2020 and has made 64 appearances in all competitions to date, including 42 in Serie A. The 24-year-old joined Roma in the summer of 2020 and has made 56 appearances in all competitions for the team, scoring 18 goals.
Roma have announced that Mayoral and Villars will join Getafe on loan until the end of the season.
The Roma club issued a statement writing: "The club can confirm that striker Borja Mayoral and midfielder Gonzalo Villar have completed the work of making an interim transfer to Spanish side Getafe. Both players were loaned to La Liga until 30 June 2022. The club wishes both players good luck in this new challenge.
