Newcastle have spent £25m to sign New Zealand centre-forward Chris Wood from Burnley.
Newcastle signed the player for two and a half years.
Chris Wood is 31 years old, and although he is not young, this signing is still a good move for Newcastle.
From the Premier League table, Norwich, Newcastle and Burnley are in the first, second and third positions of the league.
Norwich are one point behind Newcastle after 20 games and have all but locked in a relegation spot.
Newcastle and Burnley, in second-to-last place, both have 11 league points, but Burnley play two games less than Newcastle.

In this case, Newcastle directly drew reinforcements from the relegation opponent, strengthening itself while weakening the opponent to a certain extent. Moreover, Chris Wood has no adaptation problems with the Premier League.
For Burnley, it is also a good deal to collect a transfer fee of £25 million from Chris Wood, who is about to enter the end of his career.
From the point of view of player Chris Wood, he is excited to join Newcastle and he is delighted to be playing at St James' Park.
Wood said: "It's a very exciting opportunity for me and I'm delighted to be a Newcastle United player.
On 15 January, Newcastle will play Watford at home in the 22nd round of the Premier League. Chris Wood will play in this game.
