On January 12th, the Hainan Tour Exhibition of "The Soul of Mountains and Rivers - Oil Painting and Landscape Research Exhibition in Southern China" opened at the Hainan Provincial Museum. This exhibition exhibits more than 100 works by more than 90 famous domestic oil painters, which is the third stop after the exhibition in Xiamen and Shanghai, and will also be toured in Jiangsu and Beijing.
The Soul of Mountains and Rivers - Southern China Oil Painting Landscape Research Exhibition is a national research exhibition exploring southern landscapes. The purpose is to jointly promote the in-depth research and development of southern oil painting landscapes. Exchange and learn from each other, forge ahead with each other, and jointly promote the development of Chinese oil painting art. The event invited outstanding southern oil painters from all over China and outstanding works expressing southern themes from the northern region to participate, covering the representative works of Zhan Jianjun, Jin Shangyi, Xu Jiang, Xu Li, Wen Lipeng, Zhong Han, Zhang Zuying, Yan Ping, a group of Chinese oil painting master painters, which is a rare good exhibition in China in recent years.
According to Wang Rui, chairman of the Haikou Artists Association, since 2013, a group of famous painters from Anhui, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Hunan, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan and other provinces and cities have participated in the Mission Hills Art Sketching Program in Haikou, Hainan, and have formed a group of southern oil painting landscape research due to common artistic pursuits. These artists formed a consensus on the concept of expressing the Chinese spirit and southern temperament, and took the exploration of Chinese oil painting art with southern characteristics and artistic standards as their unremitting pursuit goal.
Professor Chen Hexi, president of the Southern China Oil Painting School Research Institute, believes that in today's culturally diversified world oil painting pattern, the southern oil painting school not only draws on the techniques of Western oil painting, but also integrates the aesthetic feelings of traditional Chinese culture, and presents the era style and national cultural spirit of art with oil painting landscape.
Zhang Xiaoling, vice president of the National Academy of Painting of China and a well-known critic, said: "Whether from the perspective of cultural strategy or from the perspective of aesthetic ideals, "Southern Oil Painting Landscape" is a wonderful concept design: it not only activates the creative impulse of artists with the model of "South + Oil Painting + Landscape", but also strengthens the sense of cultural identity with the value appeal of local culture.
Xia Fei, secretary of the party group of the Hainan Provincial Federation of Literary and Literary Associations and chairman of the Hainan Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, believes that as part of a series of art exhibitions of the Hainan Island Spring International Art Exhibition, this exhibition will not only be of great benefit to improving the academic level of Hainan painters and expanding the vision of Hainan artists, but also allow the broad masses of the people to feel the magnificence of the mountains and rivers of the motherland from these works, stimulate the patriotic feelings of the people, and strengthen the confidence of the people of Hainan in building a free trade port.
"The Soul of Mountains and Rivers - Southern China Oil Painting landscape research exhibition" Hainan tour exhibition is guided by the Propaganda Department of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, sponsored by the China Oil Painting Society, the Hainan Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Propaganda Department of the Haikou Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Hunan Normal University Southern China Oil Painting and Landscape Painting School Research Institute, the Hainan Southern Fine Arts Research Institute and the Haikou Municipal Federation of Literature and Art, and co-organized by the Hainan Provincial Museum, the Haikou Artists Association, and the Wuxi Phoenix Painting Material Technology Co., Ltd. The exhibition will be on view until January 23.
