During the Qing Dynasty, after the death of the emperor's harem concubines, they were either buried with the emperor or buried together in the concubine garden, and there were almost no single-person dormitories, however, on the east side of the Kangxi Jingling Concubine Garden Bed, there was a luxurious double concubine garden bed, and in the garden bed were two concubines of Kangxi, one was The Sister of Empress Xiaoyiren, Emperor Hui, and the other was Kangxi's favorite woman in his later years: Emperor Huanyi.
Emperor Huanyi's noble concubine, surnamed Guarjia, was born in the twenty-second year of Kangxi, 29 years younger than Kangxi, and his father was The Leader of the Sanpin Association.
Regarding the family lineage of Emperor Huanyi's concubines, there is no detailed record in the historical records, but the Guarjia clan is a Manchurian surname, and there are many prominent figures, such as the founding father of the Qing Dynasty, Zhiyi Gongfei Yingdong, and his nephew Aobai. Therefore, it is speculated that the family lineage of Emperor Huanyi's concubines will not be too bad.
In the 39th year of the Kangxi Dynasty, the 17-year-old Imperial Concubine Yi entered the palace through the Eight Flags Draft, and was initially named a concubine. The concubines of the Kangxi Dynasty were extremely strict, and they could be crowned as concubines as soon as they entered the palace, which showed that Kangxi's first impression of the concubines of the Emperor Yiyi was very good. In fact, there is also a beautiful legend about the entry of The Noble Concubine of Emperor Yiyi into the palace.
It is said that the Kangxi Emperor had always wanted to take the beautiful woman of Ningguta into the palace, and one day he dreamed of a beautiful woman by the northeast river, and this beautiful woman was so beautiful that she went away holding a big kingfisher and a dragon. After waking up from the dream, Kangxi immediately sent the minister of Chincha to the northeast region to find the daughter of the "riding dragon and holding the phoenix", and after some twists and turns, the minister of Chincha finally found the daughter of the "riding the dragon and holding the phoenix" in the home of the co-leader Hu Man and brought her back to the palace, this woman was the noble concubine of emperor Yiyi.
After entering the palace, Emperor Huanyi was deeply favored by the Kangxi Emperor, often sleeping on the side, and it was not long before she gave birth to a princess for Kangxi, that is, the eighteenth daughter of the emperor, but unfortunately, this little princess did not live long before she died. After that, Emperor Huanyi's concubines never gave birth to a dragon heir again, but Kangxi's favor for her remained undiminished.
In the fifty-seventh year of the Kangxi Dynasty, the Kangxi Emperor was crowned a concubine for the last time, and the concubine of the Emperor Yiyi was promoted to the title of concubine and became the upper leader of the Kangxi harem, and, four years later, Kangxi also handed over an imperial grandson to the concubine of the Emperor Yi, who was the fourth son of prince Yong, Hongli, the later amorous Tianzi Qianlong Emperor.
After the Yongzheng Emperor succeeded to the throne, he issued an edict saying that the concubines of the Yongzheng Emperor "served the former emperor and were the most cautious", so they were honored as the imperial examination concubines, in fact, it did not matter whether the concubines of the Yongzheng Emperor were the most cautious in serving the Kangxi Emperor, what was important was that she raised the son of the Yongzheng Emperor, Hongli, which was the key to Yongzheng's honor.
After Qianlong succeeded to the throne, the happiest time for Emperor Huanyi's concubines came, and she was honored by Qianlong as the emperor Wenhui Emperor Guifei, who was on the same level as another Shouqi Emperor Guifei (悫惠皇贵妃) who had raised Qianlong, and became the most respected elder in the harem. After that, Emperor Huanyi's concubine lived in the harem for more than thirty years, and died in Qianlong for thirty-three years without illness at the age of 86, and Emperor Huanyi became the last Kangxi concubine to die.
