According to official Miami International, 34-year-old centre-back Shocross announced his retirement.
A man from United's academy, Shawcross made two appearances for the Red Devils, joining Stoke City on loan in the summer of 2007 and being bought out in the winter window of 2008.
From 2007 until 2021, Shockros played for Stoke City, making 453 appearances for the team, contributing 25 goals and 16 assists, and was selected for the England national team. In February 2021, Shokros moved to Miami International and has made 12 appearances for the team so far.
Now that Shocross has decided to retire, he looks forward to his future entry into the coaching profession.
