The 2022 World Rally Championship (WRC) is about to open, and the event stipulates that all participating cars must use a hybrid system, and Hyundai officially released its new hybrid rally car based on the Hyundai i20 N before the race, and the new car will compete with the toyota GR Yaris Rally1 and Ford M-Sport Puma Rally1 in the race.
In terms of appearance, the new car features a unique body finish and a very exaggerated aerodynamic body kit, the front part is equipped with a very protruding front bumper, and the upper hood is equipped with additional air intakes. From the side of the body, the new car is equipped with a newly designed two-color multi-spoke wheel and equipped with Pirelli tires, the rear part of the car is equipped with an exaggerated size of the rear wing, the lower part is equipped with a very protruding rear bumper, and the lower part is a mid-mounted exhaust, and the overall shape of the new car is particularly aggressive.

In the power part, the new car will be equipped with a hybrid system composed of a 1.6T turbocharged four-cylinder engine + electric motor, which will provide an additional 100kW of power compared with the current i20 N, and the peak torque will be increased by 180N·m. In addition, the new car will also be equipped with a lithium-ion battery pack with a capacity of 3.9 kW·h, and in order to achieve the purpose of lightweighting, the battery pack shell will also be made of carbon fiber.
