Do you know where this is?
Is it Shanghai?
Or is it Beijing's "net red" bookstore?
No!
This is the City Study Room of Qiaoshui Street below Qixian Street!
Let's take a look at it
Recently, the winners of the 2021 Yangtze River Delta and some cities in the country's most beautiful public cultural space competition were announced. After extensive solicitation and recommendation in various competition areas across the country, a total of 1292 space cases participated in the competition, competing for the most beautiful public cultural space award, the top 100 public cultural space award, the excellent public cultural space case and other awards. The Qiaoshui Street City Study Room under Qixian Street in Keqiao District stood out in the fierce competition and won the Most Beautiful Public Cultural Space Award.
Qiaoshui Street below Qixian Street runs from the old steamship dock in the east to the longwang bridge river in the west, with a total length of 800 meters. Located in the core area of Water Street, the City Study Room is composed of three functional areas of library, café and outdoor large steps, which is one of the important projects of water street transformation. In order to respect the original architectural style of Water Street, the project is promoted in the way of "minimally invasive surgery", through the demolition of some of the dangerous houses, and the design of new buildings on the original site of the dangerous houses, the old is integrated with the new, and the buildings of different ages overlap in the same project, and the surrounding buildings are integrated and different, showing the unique humanistic style and the imprint of the times of Water Street, making the Water Street City Study Room highly recognizable.
