11 years ago today, Messi beat then Barca teammates Iniesta and Xavi to win the 2010 Ballon d'Or, the second Ballon d'Or in Messi's career.

In the ballot at that year's Ballon d'Or, Messi received 22.65% of the vote, while Iniesta and Xavi were second and third.

This is the first time in the history of the Ballon d'Or, and the only time that three players from the same club's academy have won the top three of a single Ballon d'Or.
