Wu Haotian, a medical expert aiding Xinjiang and executive vice president of Tiemenguan Hospital of the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University, is a member of the Chinese ski medical support team at the Beijing Winter Olympics and the first generation of "ski doctors" in New China. The Beijing Winter Olympics is one of the most influential international sports events, most of the Winter Olympic sports have the characteristics of great difficulty and high danger, and the sports injuries caused by them are mostly highly violent injuries and serious injuries, which brings great challenges to the protection of the Winter Olympics. According to the characteristics of the project, the personnel involved in medical security are selected from the hospitals with outstanding first-aid skills, not only the first-aid and orthopedic treatment skills should be outstanding, but also have excellent skiing skills.
Wu Haotian introduced that many people do not know the hardships of being a "ski doctor". In the snow field of minus 20 or 30 degrees Celsius, they need to kneel on the snow at nine o'clock in the morning to practice cardiopulmonary resuscitation, lie on the steep slope to practice tracheal intubation, and their hands are frozen stiff and painful in less than a minute, and at the end of each training, they freeze their hands and feet numb, their whole body is cold, and many people's hands, feet and faces are frostbitten.
"In order to improve the accuracy of the taxi and shorten the rescue time, we can only mechanically repeat one boring action after another during training to form muscle memory." Wu Haotian introduced that we do not have any ready-made training materials, training during the day, and fighting until late at night to discuss and formulate rescue plans to ensure that there are mature response plans in case of emergencies. "During training, you also need to carry 15 kilograms of rescue equipment to practice sliding on the ice and steep slopes, and falls and injuries are commonplace."
"We don't have a cable car, no sleds, no motorcycles, just skis under our feet, first aid medicine in our arms and rescue gear on our backs, and we have to slide over on our own." Wu Haotian said.

Even if it is so difficult, since the establishment of the Winter Olympic Ski Medical Support Team, no one has retreated and no one has been left behind, and the "ski doctors" have made sufficient preparations to provide strong medical protection for ice and snow sports.
Wu Haotian said that although the training process is very arduous, he will go all out to do a good job in the Olympic service guarantee work, show the world the style of "ski doctors" from Xinjiang, win glory for the Tiemenguan Hospital of the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University, and win glory for the Tiemenguan City of the Second Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.
