Back in 1971, near Mawangdui in Changsha, Hunan Province, an underground hospital was originally planned. During the construction of the hospital, an ancient tomb was accidentally discovered. What people did not expect was that the discovery of this ancient tomb can be called one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. According to some cultural relics unearthed, the owner of the tomb was The King of Changsha in the early Western Han Dynasty, Xiang Xianglicang. This is a remarkable figure, Li Cang in his early years with Han Gaozu Liu Bang to fight the world, after the success of the achievement was crowned marquis.
A large number of precious funerary items have been excavated in the Mawangdui Han Tomb, and everyone is most familiar with the plain silk Zen robe. In addition to the precious funerary items, there is also a major archaeological discovery, that is, Mrs. Xin Chai. When the archaeologists opened the coffin, they found that Mrs. Xin Chai's body was no different from when she was just buried, and the skin still maintained good elasticity. This is mainly due to the constant temperature and humidity in the burial chamber, sterile and hypoxic environment. According to the study, it was found that Mrs. Xin Chai was about 50 years old when she died, and suffered from various diseases such as coronary heart disease before her death.
The discovery of the Mawangdui Han Tomb is of great significance not only to Chinese history, but also to world history. Some other countries have tried to exchange some means for a few hairs of Mrs. Xin Chai to go back to study. For example, Japan offered to donate millions to China's archaeological community, just to ask for half a hair. However, this proposal of Japan was strictly rejected by our side. This is mainly because the Mawangdui archaeological discovery is our Chinese, how can it meet the Japanese requirements for some money? What's more, Japan doesn't know what small moves will be made behind its back.
