Hell on Earth is a World War II-themed hardcore FPS game developed by Black Matter. Team17, the developer/distributor of the Worms series, has announced that Team17 has now fully acquired the Hell on Earth IP for an initial consideration of £31 million, in addition to up to £15 million in contingent payments.

Team17 says it will create a "hardcore game label," and Hell on Earth is the first game under that label. They will use dedicated funding to provide the best core game content to players around the world.

Hell on Earth is now available on PS5/XSX/XSS/PC platforms, and Black Matter has previously stated that it has no plans to launch PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
