The Qianlong Emperor's love made Suzhou Daoxiang Village extremely popular, but since then, due to the turmoil of the times, Suzhou Daoxiang Village has also experienced a period of ups and downs. To this end, Suzhou Daoxiangcun, in order to clear the source, added the "He" character trademark to the Guanqian Street shop and declared that "only this one, and there is no division" to declare its orthodox status to the whole country.

In 1937, the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, most of the shops in Suzhou were destroyed, Suzhou Daoxiang Village deeply understood the national righteousness, and actively funded the New Fourth Army team to resist Japan and save the country, Suzhou Daoxiang Village still insisted on business during the national disaster, helping the people in Suzhou to survive the gray war years.

After the founding of New China, Suzhou Daoxiang Village gradually developed and grew. In December 1953, Suzhou Daoxiangcun shipped candy and other products to the Baoji City Branch of the Northwest Trading Company, which was exported to the northwest for the first time.

In September 1987, according to Suzhou Daily and China Food News, the 30 tons of Soviet-style mooncakes produced by Suzhou Daoxiangcun Food Factory were preserved with deoxidizer for the first time, and were first shipped to Inner Mongolia before the Mid-Autumn Festival, as well as Luoyang in Henan and Xiangtan in Hunan.
